"Yes, I'm also sure I've seen that boy before somewhere, years ago, but I cannot for the life of me think where. From what I saw of them they looked unbelievably Baratheon, from the colouring right down to the tailoring of the clothes, but it could simply be coincidence."

"Of course, my lady. Lead on" Donal bowed

"Well clearly he had Baratheon blood then," Elane said over her shoulder to Sara as she walked out. "His name was Edric Storm, wasn't it?"
She quietly led Ser Donal Tyrell into her room and sat him down on a plush chair. She locked the door and sat on her bed. "Now Donal, I know you as my friend. Who did you think the man Edric Storm looked like? Please speak truly to me. You have no idea what turmoil my mind has been in these past four years."

Donal leaned back in his chair and studied Elane briefly before replying "Well, to be blunt about it. He reminded me of Edrick Baratheon. My first thought was that he was Lyle Baratheon, his son which would make the girl his sister, Brietta. It's been several years and I cannot be certain but one thing I am certain of - they are no bastard children. The way the man carried himself and the way he wore that tabard speaks more than words. He is Baratheon and he's a dead man if Lord Baldwin puts the pieces together, if he hasn't already" Donal said quietly.

Elane felt disappointed. For a moment, she had hoped Donal would say Callen Baratheon. "Edrick, you say? You're sure he didn't look like Callen?" At his enquiring look, she hastily added, "You've heard all those rumors about Callen Baratheon being alive. Probably rubbish."
She closed her eyes. "If he really is a Baratheon...oh, it could mean so many things. I'm afraid to even contemplate it."

"Callen, you say?" Donal looked at Elane oddly "No, the boy was far too young to be Callen, not to mention I've met Callen, although as he was in chains by the Iron Throne at the time he may not have been at his best" "I have heard that Callen was rumoured to be alive although you're the first person to mention it to me so openly. Even after 4 years, it's still a dangerous name to utter" Donal leaned forward, closer to Elane and whispered "I agree however. Callen is alive. I am certain of that. I have heard from my agents in the Free Cities that a man fitting Callen's description was sent in Braavos, after he fell from the Red Keep, although I do not know where he is now"

"I've heard the same thing from my agents," Elane remembered Alliser's information. She eyed Donal warily, wondering if she could trust this man. But she had already gone too far. "My latest information was that Callen may have returned to Westeros, and if so, he was last seen in Dorne. It's speculation founded mostly on rumors, but I have good sources."
She took Donal's hand and clutched it. "Don't speak of this. Please." Elane hated to hear herself beg like this, as if she were a poor helpless child, but it came out before she could compose herself.

Donal patted Elane's hand gently "Do not fear, my lady. I have no love for the Dragon. They were always bad for business" he smiled crookedly. "If Callen is indeed back in Westeros then he is braver than I knew. There are many here today who would dread his return and prevent it but I am not one of them" Donal rose awkwardly. "We should, however, rejoin the 'festivities' before our absence is noted. I would not want to sully your reputation after all" Donal grinned. "Besides, my young rascal of a son usually finds a way to get into trouble if I am not around to keep an eye on him!"

Elane laughed and unlocked the door. "I think everyone has retired for the night, ser, although I believe there are some private drinking parties going on. You can go on down and join the Royces again, or find your kin. I believe I shall go to bed and try to sleep now. We have a long day of archery ahead of us tomorrow."

"I, luckily, just have to watch rather than partake. It has been a pleasure to make your acquaintance again, Lady Royce" Donal kisses her hand and leaves the apartment.

Elane sat on her bed and thought of what had transpired. If Callen's brothers were still out there, there was a good chance they'd know where Callen and Aranya were. Perhaps Selwyn was with them. She had to find those "jokers", she had to...no, it would be fatal if her hand was seen in it. She had Alliser, and a dozen nameless, faceless spies. She had to send them to find the Baratheons in Lannisport. She hoped Alliser was already onto it.
And as for what she would do when she found Callen...for the first time, Elane honestly had no idea.

Lilith sneaked into Elane's rooms to say goodbye to her alone, and let her know that Petra was blooming, and then went to bid Rhodri and Sara goodbye as well. She then saddled up and started her trip home. She couldn't wait to see Petra again.

Lord Rhodri returns from the Feasting Hall and raps upon the door to Elane's apartments. He seeks a private word with her.

"Yes?" Elane opened the door and saw Rhodri. "Come in, come in, dear. I've retired early from the feast - this tournament is not nearly so merry as yours. Syward Spicer murdered, my agents speak of ships being burned in the harbor, and now that young mystery knight killed in the joust. Was he really a Tyrell? Which one?" Elane was most troubled by the news of The Stranger burning. According to Alliser, that was a secret Baratheon ship. She only hoped Prince Andry had survived.
