The guest quarters have been cleaned and prepared. Between now and the end of the Great Tourney all are offered guest right. Make your presence known and be welcome.

Not wanting to interrupt the ball and festivities again, Lilith sneaks into the guest quarters to find her Royce kin, she has missed them and wanted to tell them about how Petra was doing.

"Auntie," Elane smiles as Lilith passes her chambers. "I saw you briefly before you disappeared from the ballroom with Piers. Come sit with me, it's been too long. Tell me about my goddaughter."
Seated in Elane's reception room were the ladies she had brought with her from the Vale: Lady Nymella Waynwood of Ironoaks, Lady Janna Belmore of Strongsong, Lady Leona Hunter of Longbow Hall and Lady Olene Hersy of Newkeep.

After the feast, Lord Rhodri Royce gathers some of his knights to drink privately and prepare for the next day. With the commotion with the Stags and the Goldhands, he ensures he has sober guards posted.
Ser Garrett Redfort's absence is noted.

Elane is restless and bored of her ladies. Nymella returns to her rooms flushed and glowing, whispering about Garrett and giggling with another highborn girl, Janna Belmore, who is also giggling about Tommen. Rolling her eyes, Elane leaves her ladies and joins Rhodri and his men.
"You will not mind a lady's company at your war council, I hope," she smiles. "Are you going to be defending or attacking at the pageant?"

Elane notices that Garrett Redfort is absent and grimaces. She wonders how many more maidens Garrett is deflowering after Nymella, and then wonders how to explain such an indelicate thing to Rhodri.

"You are most welcome dear cousin, though our company may bore you. It is much wine and cider and little wit or prayers. As for the pageant, I think we shall be attackers, for Baldwin plans to stock the defenders with men who defended the Rock, not those who rode to its rescue. If Spicer survives Lord Rindwynd, I do hope he'll be among the defenders."

"You were brave to offer to be Ryndwind's second, but it was a dangerous decision," Elane took a seat beside Rhodri and spoke in a low voice. "And I'm not just talking about your life. You risk Lord Baldwin's ire by challenging one of his bannermen."

"There were many witnesses when Spicer insulted me. Lord Baldwin, of all men, should understand pride. To much good has gone between us to let some uppity thug spoil our good relations."

"That's true," Elane allowed. "I had left the hall by then, thank the gods, but Nymella came and told me about it. What an ugly scene that Spicer knight caused. Nymella was scared they'd start fighting in the Great Hall, but luckily Garrett was there to comfort her," Elane smiled wryly.
OOC: I'll be back in 20 minutes.

"Aye. I was stunned that Lord Baldwin had so little control of his men, to tell the truth. To treat with guests that way...Spicer has no honor. I know his father faced a cruel fate at Hightower's hands, but to confuse that for House Tyrell, who were flaccid through the war, only shows him a fool. But once he insulted me in public, I would have lost too much face not to respond."
"For the enmity I had to show the Tyrells in the war, I think well of Rindwynd. He fought against me for the championship at the tourney at King's Landing, a day that cemented my reputation as a fighter. I'll readily stand as his second."

OOC: Take the hint and ask me about Garrett, you maddening creature, you. ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png) IC: "Will it be a fight to the death?" Elane asked dubiously. "Or just to first blood? You may think well of Rindwynd, but there's no need to give up your life for him, should he die."

Elane looked around as Lord Rindwynd enters and curtsied. "My lord. I was sorry to hear how Ser Syward Spicer insulted you."

"No need to be formal lass but your cousin is a great man by any count he bravely stepped in to a situation which he did not need to but he did and that is a true sign of a man, but about this Spicer he will get his come upence I can assure you."
