Sara sighs, "No, I never thought of that. It would have been a good idea. I would have been sure to beat one person at least, wouldn't I Rhodri?" She laughs and drinks some more wine. "Good luck! From what I remember of you being beaten by a girl, you'll probably need it. No, really, good luck."

"You can enter still. Just travel down to the Targets and enter yourself. Or I'll do it for you. I'll not have you miss out on at least one piece of fun, especially after you married a Lion just on our behalf, when you'd rather be wedded to your saddle."

"You really should enter," Elane said. "Janna Belmore and Nymella Waynwood are both competing. I won't have a Royce not compete, when their banner girls are."

"You'll find yourself on the list whether you want it or not. I hope you remember where you keep your bow."

"True. Oh, would you do that for me Rhodri, please. That would be so fantastic!"

"Haha, it shall be done." Rhodri cackles with glee. He feels young again, here with his family. "Runestone must be a quiet place now, with our Lord Father gone, you and I and Selwyn and Aranya all departed. Where have we all found ourselves..."

"I know," Elane said, sad at the thought of Aranya. "Only Lady Martina, Uncle Robert's wife, is there now. Oh, and Jon, but he's in the mountains and I never see him." She frowned. "We really must find Aranya and Selwyn."

"Well, I know my dear friend Martia Stone is coming to join me here soon so I hope she will be able to bring us some news."

"I hope so," Elane said.

Ser Donal wanders into the room "Ah, Lady Royce. I was told I could find you here. Your pardon, Lord Rhodri. I hope I am not interrupting?"

"Of course not, friend," Elane smiled. Donal Tyrell was a trade partner of hers, and a likeable man too. "We were just discussing the archery. Will you be entering? My cousin Lady Sara has decided to enter."

Donal held up his hands and smiled "Oh, I'm afraid I was never that good with the bow my lady. Too delicate for my large hands. My cousin Tallahar fancies himself the archer in our family. He's good as well but rash and over-eager for the shot." Donal's face grew serious as he continued; "I wished to discuss with you some disturbing reports I have heard from my associates in the North. With the recent plague, the Night's Watch and the Starks find themselves weakened. Too weak perhaps to resist the wildlings should they grow bold enough to raid. A problem only for the North perhaps but from such small seeds, trouble grows and hinders trade routes. I was wondering if you would help me in persuading Lord Lannister, in his capacity as Hand, to empty some dungeons of undesirables to help the Watch?"

"The Lords south of the Neck never really bothered much with the problems of the Night's Watch," Elane said. "That's Benjen Stark's and King Aemon's job. Still, wildlings are wildlings." It made her think of Aranya, with a pang. "Let us speak to Baldwin tomorrow then, and see what he says. He's in a bad mood right now, I wouldn't go to him. Apparently some men dressed up in Baratheon colors as a joke and it annoyed him greatly."

"Yes, I saw that. I wouldn't be too quick to dismiss it as a joke however. Those clothes fitted too well for a prank and I am certain I have seen the young man before, and not as anyone called Edric Storm either - as if anyone would dare to admit to that name currently who wasn't seeking death. They were lucky that Maerys wasn't here - he would have gutted them and put their heads upon a pike and damn the consequences."

"You think you've seen that man before?" Elane cocked her head, and was suddenly conscious that tilting the head had been Aranya's habit. "Interesting." I have to speak more with him. But not here. Maybe in my chamber. "Would you walk with me, ser? We can perhaps go find Baldwin."
