A servant in the livery of House Redwyne arrives at the House of the Spear. The man asks to set up an appointment between Rhodri and a delegation from the Arbor at Royce's earliest convenience.

Ser Ryon Redwyne and Ser Mandon Stonecrab arrive at Rhodri's manor. Ser Mandon carries a small wooden chest with him and wears a content smile below his immaculately groomed mustache. Ser Ryon has a somewhat irritated look about him.

The two men are met at the door by servants, and shown into the dining room. They are offered chairs, and told the lord Rhodri is running late, and should arrive soon.

The two men sit down. Ryon adjusts the uneven tablecloth. Mandon sets his chest on the table. They wait for Royce to make an appearance.

Shortly later Rhodri Royce hurries into the room, "I apologize for my tardiness gentlemen, but my brother's son is quite ill. I had promised him time to practice with blade, and he no longer train for so long with taking frequent breaks." He offered a charming smile to the men, and sat down.

"Think nothing of it, Lord Rhodri. Family matters should always take priority." Ser Mandon returns the warm smile.
"If I might present Ser Ryon Redwyne, of the Arbor," Ryon nods in acknowledgement, "and my name is Ser Mandon Stonecrab, also of the Arbor."

Rhodri nodded at each man, "Of course, it is an honor to have you in my hosue. Would you like a refreshement?"

"Please," Mandon says affably, "Nothing like a warm summer day to give a man a bit of a thirst."
"Lord Rhodri," Ryon says in his normal quiet, level tone, "The matter that brings us here today is mercantile in nature, but I believe you will wish to see to it personally. My house has recently acquired new merchandise. If I might show you?"
He produces a key from within his coat and begins unlocking the wooden chest.

Rhodri walked, and poured two glasses of wine, and then served them himself. He did not say anything, but studied the chest with curiosity.

Ryon opens the chest, then positions it so Rhodri might see its contents. Inside is a dagger, a spearhead, an arrowhead, and the head of a crossbow bolt, all resting in perfect order on soft red fabric.
"This metal is Valyrian steel," Ryon says quietly, "I invite you to test it for yourself. It is far more resilient, lighter, and sharper than normal steel."

Rhodri eyed the weapons, and raised an eyebrow. "The color is off a touch, but I have no doubt of your words, gentlemen."

"It is a new process," Ryon says, "Which leads to a slightly different coloration. But the product itself is of far higher quality than any other steel you have tried."
"Men armed with such weapons will possess a significant advantage in battle," Mandon says, selling his wares now, "Not to mention the prestige of owning such blades. I can guarantee you that Valyrian steel has never been sold in bulk in Westeros before, and the first lord to outfit his knights with such weapons will be looked upon with admiration and envy."
"We would like to do business with you in the Stormlands," Mandon continues, "Perhaps with House Royce in the Vale as well. Are you interested in buying?"

Rhodri eyed the steel, and replied, "I dare think if everything you say is true I would be a fool to reject such an offer."
