Maekar and Anni's room

[Marie]

"How sweet of you. I'm pleased to have made at least one new friend. Soon I will need as many as I can get."

[Helyn Caron]

'I will always be here for you Joanna just as you have been for me.' Anni smiled

[Marie]

"That's good to know. We women should look out for one an other. I know the men won't," Joanna said with a laugh.

[Helyn Caron]

Anni nodded it in agreement. 'How rude am i, would you car for a drink?' She asked standing up

[Marie]

"A drink would be most welcome, thank you, Anni. Do you have lemonwater?" Joanna asked.

[Helyn Caron]

Anni went to find one of the servents and asked them to bring some drinks in for them. she returned to sit with Joanna. 'Is this why The Queen seems upset?'

[Marie]

Joanna nodded solemnly.

"of course it is."

[Helyn Caron]

'I am sorry to hear that.' Anni said. 'I hope you cope well with it.' The drinks were brought in and Anni dismissed the woman. 'I hope she does not upset you.'

[Marie]

"A little, but I can bear it. I'm half responsible for her misery, as is Daemon. Don't trouble yoruself, Anni, you are better off not worrying about me."

[Helyn Caron]

'But if i shall be your lady in waiting, is that not what i should do.' Anni smiled

[Marie]

"Yes, I suppose so, but the Morgan situation is not likely to be resolved any time soon so we just have to live with it," Joanna said. "Your concern is much appreciated, though."

[Helyn Caron]

'Well you have my undivided attention.' Anni told her. 'I am at your service.'

[Marie]

"Thank you."

Joanna hugged Anni.

"I think we are going to get on supremely well."

[Helyn Caron]

'As do i,' Anni replied returning the hug

Several days after her marriage, Joanna arrives at Maekar's appartments.

"i want ot see my brother," she informed the servants.

There was no room for a refusal in her voice.
