Ser Betram nods, "I was castellan of this castle under Ser Barris' father, I saw him grow up to be a strapping young man."

"I wish you could tell me more about what happened back then, and how he was as a young man. He doesn't want to tell me any of it. He says that lies in the past and that there is no use in talking about it."

"Your father is a very wise man. Needless to say your father realized early that there were many Redwyne sons, including Paxter here. Many of whom were better in command of ships, both in trade and in combat. Some of his brothers were knightly men, who sought the lance. Ser Barris sought other skills. He spent some time... abroad. There was a brief period when he was out of favor with his Lord father for carousing with the wrong sorts in Braavos, but eventually he settled down and became a quite respectable merchant, trading in goods coming east across the Dothraki sea. Good man, your father. We miss him and his letters."

"I miss him too, Ser Bertram, life goes on and my new life takes so much time that I don't get to see my family as much as I want to."

"And what does your new life entail Ser Luke? Any Grandiose plans to encourage us with?"

"I've found work with a trading company that operates out of Volantis. I started out shipping goods, but lately they've been giving me assignments of more importance. That is one of the reasons why I've come here actually."

Ser Betram raised his eyebrow, "Volantis hmm? I'd been led to understood that most of the free cities had lost their nerve for competing against Braavos."

"Most have, but not my employeers, they will not give up like most have, they want to see an end to the power that Braavos now hold over the Free Cities and on some level, Westeros also"

"This sounds like a conversation to intriguing to be held in a foyer. Why do we not continue this conversation in my chambers after a supper?" Betram said, smiling all the while.

"Why not, maybe you could share some more stories of my father as a young man."
He saw some men coming up towards them.
"There seems to be more coming to see what the ship dragged in" he says with a smile.

Lord Cyrus Varner approached the assembled group behind his friend Lord Dorian Florent. Behind them a mixed group of two dozen Foxes and Weasels stood, wearing mail beneath the surcoat of their houses.
"Hail and well met good men of the Arbor." said a tall, thin but muscular looking man in a light shirt of mail and the white weasel on ermines surcoat of the Varners. "I'm Lord Cyrus, my friend Lord Dorian Florent is also here, we have matters to discuss with the Lord of the Arbor."

Luke gave the men that introduced themselves as Lord Varner and Lord Florent a simple nod with his head and then turned to Paxter.
"It looks like your house is going to have a lot of guests this evening"

Ser Paxter inclined his to the men. "Well met, my good lords, we are honoured to receive you. I am Ser Paxter Redwyne, this is my cousin Luke Redwyne, only just returned from the Free Cities, and this good knight is Ser Bertram. Allow us to escort you to the castle."

"Mighty kind of you good Ser, mighty kind," Dorian said as he followed the Redwyne's towards the Keep. "You will have to settle a dispute between us Paxter, Lord Varner believes that the finest Arbor vintage is during the fall season, while I maintain its during the Long Summer that the best wine is made? As a vinter I had hoped you could shed some much needed light on the subject" the young Fox Lord says with an inquisitive look.
