Bolton nods.
Unghar motions for the three hundred to follow Casset back to the keep.

A large force of infantry and heavy horse leaves the Bloody Gate about a day later. It divides into two columns, one marching along the road, the other heading east into the hills.
Ser Casset Corbray can be spotted leading the column on the road, and Ser Harmen Tollett the other.

Ten Valemen, led by Ser Daven Hersey, ride into The Bloody Gate. They look worn, tired, and bloody. An eleventh horse is with them, bearing several bundles, one of which looks like a body.
Daven dismounts and rushes into the keep to find the rookery. He writes a message and a raven flies off to the southeast.

Aranya rode into the Bloody Gate, followed by sixteen-year old Perra carrying Lewyn and Selyse on her horse. Aranya was hailed by a grizzled old knight who remembered her, and she listened in growing amazement at the tale he told her. "A Moon Brother rebellion?" she was heard saying. "And...he died? And Ser Roland killed the Moon Brother chieftain?" Her face split into a broad grin.

OOC: I don't have Roland back yet, Aranya. I have to write up another scenario and a half -- one for the actual fight with Andalsbane, and another about the peace settlmeent with the remainder of the stuff. We can have you run into Ser Daven though.

Ser Daven was crossing the courtyard when he recognized Aranya Royce. He approached her. "Lady Aranya, it is my distinct pleasure. You may remember me from Roland's feast in King's Landing sometime ago."

"What's this I hear about my cousin fighting the Moon Brothers?" Aranya dismounted. Daven noticed that she winced as she did it, and walked a bit slowly. "And to think I have been holed up on that mountain while all of this was going on. Good job to all of you. Where is he? Tell me about this rebellion. What has been happening?"

"Well, milady, the Brothers of the Moon had been getting bolder in their raids along the road to the south, and Ser Casset, gods rest his soul, asked Roland to take a look. So, we headed out and discovered a lot of queer behavior out there, and it seemed like someone was organizing those Moon Brothers. Gods, I could use a drink. Would you join me inside?" Daven asked gesturing towards the Brandy Vine Inn.

"Those bloody Moonfuckers. They, the Dogs and the Burnt Men were always the most troublesome. Someone is organizing them, you say. Interesting."
"Ser Casset died?" Aranya shook her head. "That must be avenged, and swiftly. I remember the Knight when I was a girl here. Ser Raymund, one of the fiercest knights I ever met."
"Aye, I'll join you for a drink."

Daven reeled back slightly at Aranya's ferocity, and then smiled before going inside the inn with her. Tension seemed to melt away from him as he took his first draw of ale.
"Aye, Casset died. The leader of the Moon Brothers killed him with that great fucking morning star. Roland told me he actually slipped on a rock, and that's what got him. And, if I were to judge, milady, Roland has already avenged him... Or, I hope he has."

"Really?" Aranya raised an eyebrow; Daven could tell that she was impressed. "Roland is good with a sword, but you need a good head to beat the clansmen, especially the Moon Brothers. I'm glad to see that he has one." She drank deeply of her ale.

Daven smiled, "It were actually Roland's plan that Casset used in his attack. It was a risky one, but I think it paid off. The Moon Brothers paid very dearly. Then again, even if our losses were slight, it seems as if we have paid in other ways."

"It was Roland's plan, was it? So he's both a great sword and a great planner, it seems. Reminds me of Ser Raymund, the most fearsome Knight of the Gate you could ever have met. It is a pity he died fighting different wildlings on the Wall. I'm starting to think he would have liked Roland very much. Roland has guarded the Vale and crushed the clan rebellions. He is what the Bloody Gate needs."
