The guards warily inspect the tattered men before them. The men are interrogated briefly, but permitted entry at the Gate.

A raven arrives at the Bloody Gate informing the highest commanders of the garrison that King's Landing has fallen and is now being held in the name of Lord Regent Benfry and King Rickon.

The party from the Vale with the King begins making it's way to King's Landing. Lord Royce and his wife, Lord Grafton, Roland Royce and his wife and son, Scot Royce, Daven Hersey, and various other significant lords and knights of the Vale ride out. The King is with them, as well as Ser Tytos Blackwood of the Kingsguard. All told, the party numbers near 500 in terms of fighting men, and more still when the ladies and servants are counted.

Brandon Stone and Ser Patrek Redfort, Ser Danwell Farring and the rest of the King's Men are also going with the party
