Ser Harmen Tollett rides just out of the gate with two guardsmen on either flank. "Milady, this road is not oversafe. What is your business in the Vale?"

"My Name's Tania, and I'm a mummer." She says, smiling. "My company's coming up this way, and I've ridden ahead to book us a couple shows. We figure the Vale be sorely in the need for entertainment."
The woman flashed a smile, and stressed the word entertainment in a manner suggestive. "We'll most likely stop by Gultown, and Runestone, maybe some of the smaller towns and keeps if there's money to be made."

Tollett gave her a half smile. "Well, you're certainly welcome in the Vale, milady. It should be safe beyond the Gate. I'm glad you weren't assailed on the road before now. It is not safe, as the Clans are bold."

"I thank you Ser, for your kindness, but the Seven smiles on drunks, children and mummers, so I rarely have cause to worry." She batted her eyelashes at the guard, and when the gate was opened continued on her way.

A large party of Valemen depart for King's Landing. Notable among their number, Lord Odhar Royce, and his son Scot, Ser Rey Pryor, Lord Dortmund Grafton, Ser Jonas Waxley, Ser Daven Hersey, and Ser Galwyn Fell.

Lord Odhar Royce, Ser Roland Royce, and many other prominent Valemen along with a sizable guard return to the Vale from King's Landing. The Bloody Gate is closed immediately thereafter. Roland Royce takes command there and begins fortifying immediately. Two days later, the port at Gulltown is also essentially closed. The modest Vale navy deploys around the port and begins shaking down incoming vessels.

Theon Godswind, of House Goodbrother, arrives at the Bloody Gate accompanied by ten Ironborn. He announces that he has come to speak with Lord Royce on behalf of Lord Harlaw.

Theon and his guards are greeted by Roland Royce who permits them entry and sends them to the Gates of the Moon with 35 Valemen.

A unkept man rides up to the Bloody Gate from the Vale, he's dirty and wears surprisingly little furs for the weather. A sword his strapped to his belt and a harp is slung on his back. He asks to speak to the Knight of the Gate. Before he collapses of exhaustion.

The man is taken to a room and left with some water and food until he recovers. A guard stands outside.
