Izzy smiled over at Amelia. "At least it's not dull! That would be quite horrid. Everyone will remember the event now, I'm sure. Perhaps someone hired an assassin to make sure the party stuck in everyone's minds?" She teased.

"That I cannot deny..." Yohn chuckled, but there was no fun in it, he frowned and turned to Oswyn. "Maybe you should teach your wife her place, Nephew?" He clenched his right fist controling the urge to smash her head against the ground.

"Everything alright?" asked Edric, taking a step toward Amelia and the elderly Baratheon man.

Donal also steps in between his half-uncle and his sister-in-law, "Uncle, let us depart to find out what we can about this assassin. The sooner we get started the sooner we can lay this matter to rest." He says playing a hand on his uncle's shoulder and gesturing to the door with his other hand.

Donal turns to Amelia, "I apologize for ruining your mighty fine shindig." He says with a smile and a polite bow. Afterwards he follows Yohn to help with the investigation and to see a maester about wrapping up his ribs, he is a little sad that he has to miss the rest of the party.

Aenys chuckled, "I think it is covered in dust. He just stays in his own office." "I am sure that will change with a young queen on the throne." Oswyn replied hopefully, before all hell broke lose. He took a step toward the raucous, intending to use his cane as a bludgeon if it came to that, but the dogs and Donal made short work of the assailant. He almost felt bad for the assassin as he was skewered and disemboweled. "Apologies, my lords." he said to the Hand and Grand Maester. "If you'll excuse me for just a moment." Seeing that his father had order in had, he turned to his bickering wife and uncle. "Blood is shed and you two shame this house with your heated word." he said fiercely. "Amelia, you are not Lady Baratheon yet. You will treat my uncle with the respect befitting of a male of the Baratheon line, regardless of the sins of his natural son. Uncle, do not deem to lecture me on how to manage the affairs of my marriage, else we will have a long and unpleasant discussion regarding your own. Are we clear?"

Gareth gave a small smile to himself at the family spat. He turned to Amelia. "You have been a gracious hostess my lady. I thank you. The Hightowers thank you. However it is time, I think, for me to depart.

Lord Baratheon silently fumed that his family was putting their infighting on display for the entire capital to see, but he retook his seat with a smile and laugh, reassuring the guests that the 'uninvited guest' had been removed and there would be no more of his ilk here tonight.

Izzy had gone home with Gareth, but Gwayne, concerned since their sister Perianne was wed to a Baratheon, thought fortunately still at Storms End for now, felt obliged that the bonds between the two houses were not something to e forgotten lightly. He approached Lord Sammael.
"My lord, I hope you will accept my sympathies in this difficult time. Please let me know if House Hightower can be of assistance to your house."
