Edric stopped before the entrance and waited for Nymeria and her posse to catch up. "After you," he told the Lannister girl with his trademark wolfish smile.

Nymeria strode not far behind him. "Well, this certainly is run-down," She said upon arrival, entering the dragon put via one of the large, arched gates.
"One would almost think this were Flea Bottom."

"I guess it has no real purpose without the dragons," said Edric and followed her, looking around. "What else would they use it for? Tourneys, maybe."

"I have read about fighting pits in the east; those sound terribly gross, though I would imagine the common folk would simply love those here," Nymeria said, looking about with a vaguely disinterested expression.

"Really?" asked Edric, not really caring about such fighting pits. He kicked some pebbles with his boot and noticed boulders in various sizes all over the place. "Better hope it doesn't get dark soon. We would be like rats in a maze." This idea seemed to amuse him.

"What a strange analogy," Nymeria replied, giving Edric a sideways glance. "And comparing myself to a rat... well, now I cannot help but be insulted."

"You are possibly the furthest thing from a rat," Edric said as if this was obvious, tired from all the compliment fishing. "Although I must admit you look a little different from the classical Lannisters. As does your brother, from what I saw. What is your family like?"

"What is my family like?" She repeated, wondering at that question. "A strange thing to ask... my mother is from Dorne, if you hadn't known. It's in the South; I am not sure you Northerners are aware of it." She winked at him.

"I have been to Dorne. I was in that last battle for the Stepstones," he replied, unamused. "It seems that I even know some of your relatives there, then."

"Oh?" Nymeria asked, a spark of interest in her voice. "I've never really met any of my Dornish family, though mother talks of them." She pouted. "Father was planning to visit Dorne soon, so I may go with him."

"Is that so?" Edric inquired, giving the Lannister girl a sideways glance. "And what for, if I may ask? Just a family visit?"

"What else could it be?" Nymeria replied with a secret little smile. "Are you Northerners always so suspicious? I guess you have to be, living so far away from everyone else."

Not at all convinced, Edric smiled back. "Maybe I am just unusually curious," he said. "Well, if you have never met them, I suppose it is about time that you do."

"Oh, naturally," Nymeria said, already filing the conversation away. "I think I have seen enough of this dull place now. It's all dusty and horrible!" She frowned. "It can't be good for my skin."
