"Of course," Edric replied, not even having to think about it. "What did you have in mind?"

She suddenly felt a great anxiety freeze her in place, "Er um, nevermind. Ha. Um, you know, I forgot I must be doing something at home."

Edric did not find that too likely and he frowned a little in confusion. "It's alright. You can tell me. I mean if there is something I can help you with, by all means.."

This was surely one battle that Lyssandra was not equipped to fight, "Kiss me," she blurted out. "I've never been kissed," she said hastily afterward, "And you're my friend, I can trust you."

Edric's face was unreadable for a while as he was contemplating a number of things, but then he suddenly eased up and leaned in, placing a gentle kiss on Lyssandra's lips.

Lyssandra closed her eyes and savoured the new experience. She moved her head back and opened her eyes again. "Thank you." She felt invigorated and felt like she could run through a wall if she so pleased. "I am sorry for having to ask, but..but I needed to."

Edric pulled back, finding it a bit sad that she even had to ask. "No need to thank me. Anything else you need?" he asked, a crooked smile on his lips.

"I don't know, I don't think so. You're a good friend." She folded her arms across her chest, "We probably won't see eachother much, if at all. I will not be in the city for much longer and you probably won't either."

Noticing the defensive gesture, Edric shrugged. "At least until the coronation. Are we not supposed to give parties in its honour?"

"Well, yes. But I will not be at any parties," Lyssandra replied simply. "And I don't plan to host one myself, but I will probably have to." She looked over the again, perhaps for one last time. "Maybe one day I will come to like this city, but for now, now." She shook her head. "Write to me if we do not see eachother."

"Perhaps I should make a point to attend yours, then," said Edric. "This won't surely be the last time." He stuffed his hands in his pockets and paused, looking at her. "Of course I'll write."

"If you would like, I am not sure how many people will come. I have not exactly...made many friends during my time here, or even during the war. But.." She paused and looked to her guards and told them she would be a moment then turned back to Edric, "It would be nice if you did come."

"It is settled, then," Edric replied with a faint smile, only now realising that he was in the same situation now than he was when Nymeria Lannister left him on top of that hill. "Just send me a courier with its date. I am staying at The Gilded Horse."

Lyssandra narrowed her eyes a little in thought, "That does not suit you at all, Gilded Horse?" She said in a jibing manner. "I will let you know the date, and I think forget to send invitations to many others."

"Just so my Ryswell friend could find me once she arrived at the city," said Edric and smirked at the princess' last words. "Private gathering, eh? Should be fine. Until then, I suppose."
