Tyana was already out there, leaning against the railing and looking over. She had changed since the party, into a plain red dress, her hair was down and fell around her and obscured her face.
She was half way through humming a song when Mariya arrived, which she carried on even as she looked over her shoulder at the new arrival.
"Good evening," She greeted, in a soft pleasant tone, but her eyes were hard.

"Good evening," Mariya said. "I wanted some air."
She was still in the black dress embroidered with silver dragons.
"What's wrong, Tyana? Are you not well?"
She had noticed that the other girl didn't look happy.

"Oh, no, I am wonderful." She said with a roll of her eyes, and frowned looking back over the city, "That lovely dress.... ruined." She muttered to herself but then turned and smiled at Mariya, "Did you have a pleasant time?"

"It was alright. Not the kind of party I like. So uncivilised," she sighed. "I was expecting there to be dancing, and music. But I'm not good at just making conversation, and I don't see the point in throwing food about, so I decided to wait a bit before I go back."

"Yes, well most people would not see the point in throwing food, but apparently not those from the reach." She said, absently, then smiled apologetically at the Rowan, though it did not reach her eyes, "Present company excepted, of course." She sighed, wishing she were back home. "The party is over now for me, I am afraid, but perhaps there will be dancing when you return."

"Perhaps. But it's a shame you have given up entirely. It was only food, wasn't it? I saw when it hit you."
She moved closer and leaned on the rail.
"I didn't think you would be upset about something so trivial. They are the ones at fault, not you."

"I am not upset," Tyana said with a soft laugh, but inside she was still seething, she didn't know what Mariya meant by it being only food, that dress was silk, the gods themselves wouldn't get cream out of it. "It is just a shame it had to come to that... and that dress was very expensive as you can imagine and getting to wear it for all of half an hour is a little annoying. We're not children any more, it is shame we need to act like them,"

"We didn't. It's the others that did. I didn't see who threw it. You should demand an apology. I would," Mariya remarked. "I think it's justified."

"From Joss?" she asked with a laugh, "I would rather ask him to poke me in the eye" she said it pleasantly enough, not wanting the other to know how upset by it she had been, "I think it is better for me to forget it." She knew she would never forget about it, a lannister pays her debts, and she would get Joss back for it, one way or another.

"As long as you're sure."
But Mariya didn't sound sure. She could guess that Tyana was upset but had no idea what to do about it.
"Are you sure you won't go back? The dress you have on now is pretty too."

"It's not the dress." She said with a shake of her head, Mariya clearly didn't understand, the differences in their houses was very telling. Tyana was under the impression she would look stunning in a sack, "No, I was not overly interested in it, to be honest. If you could tell Dany that I shall not be returning though, I would appreciate it."
She paused for a second and surveyed the city again, "it looks very lovely from up here, doesn't it?"

"If I see her, I'll tell her," Mariya said.
She too looked out over the city.
"It does. I never knew Goldengrove, but I think this is as good a place as any to grow up. If I didn't want to see a little bit more of the kingdom I might wish I never had to leave. But I suppose that's because this is home to me."
She looked sideways at Tyana.
"Do you feel like that too?"

"No. Not really. Casterly Rock is my home. It always will be. This has been a very very long visit." She said, with a grin sideways, "But for the most part it has been a pleasant one. I forget how long some of you have been here."
