"I was just a babe in arms when I came here with my aunt," Mariya said. "I've no memories of Goldengrove at all. I never knew my mother and father, or my sister either."
She didn't even sound sad when she said it. That was the way it was and she had never known anything different.
"It's most odd. I have only the vaguest memory of Aunt Alla. I can't picture the rest of my kin at all. Do you remember your family at all, Tyana?"

"Oh yes, all of them." She said, cheerily, "Of course I remember Tybalt, as he is here, but the others stick out clearly too, at least as I knew them." Her brothers face after she pushed him down the stairs was an image that would forever stay in her mind as one of her greatest failures... the fucker survived. "I am sure you will see them again one day,"

"Maybe. But I don't know if I want to. They won't know me. And I don't know them."
Mariya shrugged.
"It doesn't matter. But still, I love Oldtown well. It's a beautiful city. I go to the Starry Sept often."
She paused and looked over at Tyana again.
"Do you not want a drink?"

"I went to the Starry Sept... once I think." She admitted, though she could not be sure, "Do you want a drink? I could find someone to get one for you if you like, but I am not thirsty thank you."

"I'm a bit thirsty, yes," Mariya agreed. "But I can wait. It's nice and cool up here."
She was worried about leaving Tyana alone though.

"If you are thirsty, you can go back to the party." Tyana said, with a laugh, "I am feeling rather tired anyway."

"Good night, I am sure I shall see you soon." She said, and smirked at Mariya as she passed to go back to her rooms.

Danyella Tyrell was leaning against the balcony, observing what little of the river she could make out in the darkness. Her long auburn hair was slightly damp from the rain and she was wearing a black cloak to keep her red dress from ruin.

Finn strolled up onto the balcony, tugging the white hood of his cloak further down over his eyes to keep dry.
"Nice night for it," he said as he approached the Tyrell girl.

Distractedly, Dany thought she recognised Finn's voice. "The only night for it, really," she said, finally turning away from the view to look at him, a small smile on her lips as usual. "Couldn't sleep?"

"No rest for the wicked," Finn replied, mirroring her small smile with one of his own. "And yourself/"

"Not wicked, but I guess I do not need as much rest as you, seeing as all they ever make me do is embroidery," Dany replied. "No one ever comes here when it's raining. Usually, that is," she said playfully and leaned her back against the railing. "A good place to think."

"Apparently we had the same idea," Finn agreed, placing both his hands on the railing and looking out over the river. "Penny for your thoughts?"

She studied him for a long moment. Finally deciding that it wouldn't make a lot of difference, she replied. "I was thinking that this city would look good in crimson."
