Gregor chuckled "Well that is true I guess." He replied then turned his attention to Maerys for a moment before feeling the urge to shuffle through his papers.

Maerys turned his head at the sound of his name being called, he walked over to Jothos and took a seat."You called my name?"

"I did. I called Gregor here for a purpose but seeing you here has struck me as fortunate. The upcoming festivities, the treasure hunt specifically - I would like you both to join my team."
He puts his hands together in front of him and awaits a response.

"Of course" Gregor replied without looking up from his papers. He reached into his satchel and produced a looking glass. He spun it in his hand glancing at it then putting it over a sheet of parchment. "One day I plan to travel to Myr to see how they make these."

Jothos nodded, not surprised.
"And you Maerys? Will you join us?"

He thought about it for a second,"Yeah, I'll join. Who else is on our team?"

Jothos smiled, a little awkwardly.
"Well, I will lead, then there are you two..."
He rubbed his nose.
"Hear me out on this one, the fourth member is Baelor Stark."

He knew Jothos was a good cyvasse player, but at the moment he was questioning his judgement skills. He frowned slightly,"He seems more interested in being obnoxious then anything serious. However maybe if we give him a fair chance, he can be helpful."

"How can that fool be helpful!" Gregor clearly did not like the choice. "Bae takes nothing seriously, absolutely nothing. Unless we need a court jester for this hunt then I think it unwise to team up with him."

Jothos nodded resignedly, raising a hand to quell the expected protests.
"As I said, hear me out." He licked his lips.
"We have in Baelor three things - firstly, an insider. The hunt has been organised by Sapphire Hightower, someone whose mind I can rarely comprehend and who I am sure you two gentlemen will struggle to understand either. Baelor is close to her, he may understand clues that will mean nothing to us."
"Secondly," he said, holding up two fingers on his left hand, "we have a fool. There may be hints or clues of such lowbrow calibre that we remain stumped, refusing to see an obvious answer. Baelor provides a base level of intellect and cunning, providing a viewpoint which lends us a broad spectrum of overall coverage. Where we might look for a complicated route around the hedge maze, Baelor might simply force himself through the hedges, ultimately with greater success."
"Finally, we have a workhorse. If there are any physically challenging or humiliating tasks required by the hunt, I'd sure as anything prefer someone else to take responsibility for them. With constant encouragement to offer a sense of satisfactory involvement, Baelor can do the hard work so we need not."
"So, have I made the right choice or is it a foolish ruse?"

"The first part I agree with, but on the second I think you underestimate Baelor Stark. I definitely don't agree on the third, while you may abhor physical work, I think it builds teamwork and morale if we all pitch in."

Jothos frowned slightly.
"Let me assure you Maerys, having shared a room with Baelor of late, I am not underestimating his intelligence. With regards the physical work, I still think it beneficial if we have someone who can do the legwork whilst we all turn our attention to more pressing issues."

He sighed,"I will not treat another human as inferior."

Jothos sniffed.
"As the future Lord of Winterfell, Baelor is anything but inferior. I am merely suggesting that we play to our strengths. With the greatest of respect to Gregor here," he said indicating to Corbray with an outstretched palm, "if there were to be any sword-work required in this treasure hunt, I'd not be putting him forward." He smiled.
"If you don't like the way this team is run Maerys, you don't have to be a part of it."

"I can't say that I care for him, but you have a point Jothos. Well actually a few points I believe." Gregor laughed quietly.
