Anya nodded, and let the snow fall onto her hands, and naked shoulders. "Its a good omen for a wedding, I believe. I am sure the old woman are all clapping, and warm inside."

"Aye." Ryam said, "superstitious old coots, but that ain't mean they wrong."

Lady Anya laughed, "I hope the old bats are right about at least one thing." She turned, and looked at Ryam, "If there is nothing else, my lord."

Ryam laughed, "I forgive if I misled you milady. I hope enjoying the snow at least eases your disappointment. Have a good eve."

Anya watched him go, and then walked out into the snow, away from the wedding.

"It was worse then one of those by far. The winds froze two men dead as they stood. The rest of us scrambled into the first shelter we could find." In there we began to burn anything that would burn, one of us braving the wilds to fetch wood. We lost two men, twelve fingers, and nine toes between us." "As long as ya didn't lose anything more important!" Lyanne exclaimed, before letting out a belch. "At first that deserter sounded pretty stupid, chancing it up beyond the Wall but now it sounds like he had a swift mind. Did you find him?"

"As well as direwolves and grumpkins," Will suggested with a smile. "There are no direwolves or grumpkins, father," Rodrick piped in skeptically. "Uncle says you'd be a fool to believe so." Will laughed, barely putting down his mouthful of meat. "You're the more fool for trusting your uncle!" "No man should judge the stories without having been beyond," Benjen said in a low tone, breaking his silence. Jon's eyebrow lifted but he smiled nonetheless. "Prudence indeed is advised. Benjen has a point, you know. One should not judge what one does not know."

"Listen to the wisdom of others, Rodrick. This man has no doubt seen much more than you or I, or your uncle ever will," William advised.
Rodrick scrunched up his face in consideration. "Have you seen any, Benjen? Beyond the wall," he asked, careful not to say 'ser'.

In reply Benjen shrugged, turning back to his meal. "Haha, you'll never get many words out of him, even when he's in his cups. Which is hardly ever." Jon chuckled and chewed on a hunk of cheese. "I hear much about the Twins."

Ryam Flint returned to the Wedding feast, without Lady Anya and sat beside his kin again.

"As do I, much to my boredom," Will replied. "Tell me what you hear of us this far North," he urged good-humoredly.

"That there's a lot of you," Jon replied, finishing his wine. "That you're getting richer and richer by the day." He grinned. "Lucky that bit of land by the river was free, hmm?"

"Eight hundred years ago, and never since," William grinned. "Though enough of that is truth." He drank.
"But that's only scraping the surface, I'm sure."

"It's all pretty much like that," Jon answered. "Oh, and that you are incestuous, greedy, murderous pederasts," he added offhandedly.

William, mid sip, spluttered his wine back into his cup, attempting to resist a laugh.
"I've not heard that one before," he laughed easily. He grinned. "This makes for good company, then. Cheers," he said, raising his glass.
