Appalled and white-faced, Joanna stood and called out.
"Your Grace, may I speak?"

Prince Trystane turned and looked at the King.
"He would not, since I am returning to the dungeons after this, Your Grace."

"No Trystane you are not. You are riding home. You are no longer welcome at my court. No man has ever insulted me as much as you have and been allowed to leave. You can thank your mother for that. She would make my days miserable if I acted as I should. So go and hide behind her skirts, or I may forget myself." Daemon snapped.

Daeron rose. "My black heart, Daemon? And what have you done to prove yourself as a virtuous and honourable king? Fuck Maekar's wife? Have your true Queen kept a prisoner? Let your sworn protectors hit her? Murder Jon Royce? Murder lord Thatcher? Murder the High Septon? You're a tyrant, Daemon, and yes; I did plot to kill you." He turns to the crowd. "The man that stands up there is not fit to be king, you must all see that. I will gladly give my head so all of you realize this." He turns back to Daemon. "Now can I go to a cell?"

One of the Traitors' Sons smashes Daeron across the jaw with an Iron cudgel.

Joanna cried out.
"Daeron, you are the greatest fool in the world! Had you been loyal you could have reaped the rewards for it. I thought Milo had it wrong all this time yet now I see I was a fool ever to love you as a sister should love a brother."

Trystane nodded and smiled as the King told him that he could return to Dorne.
"Finally." he mumbles to himself.

Arya shook her head wondering why she tried to cover for him. She would probably lose the game of thrones too.

Steffon looked at Maekar's wife and chuckled slightly, not particularly surprised. He felt bad for his brothers.

Poor Daeron, Quentyn thought, and an image came unbidden to his mind -- Daeron drunkenly passed out on the cobblestones of King's Landing. Quentyn remembered following his cousin outside, finding some servants to pick him up and help carry him back inside. If only this mess was as easy to clean up.

Joanna walked out of the room with her back stiff. She didn't want to talk to anyone at the moment.
