"I think that's about the best we'll get out of you Lady Aryanna, but you are a young woman innocent in the ways of the world, so that's to be expected," Milo winked.
"Do you have any questions for this witness... and it better be a question..." Daemon asked of Daeron.

Barristan sat close to front. He was deeply troubled by the trial not liking that his goodbrother was said to be a traitor. Plus it turned out that Milo Bettley was extremely boring and liked the sound of his own voice.

"No, I do not have any questions." Daeron replied.

Joanna sat anxiously. She really didn't want to believe Daeron capable of plotting against her but she could see where Milo was coming from. She smiled at Arya in the hope of reassuring the girl.

Daemon smiled at Lady Aryanna, "You did very good Lady Arya. Thank you, you're dismissed now."

Arya stood up and looked about where to sit, she wondered if Queen Morgan would let her sit by her.

Daemon nodded at Bettley, "proceed with your final remarks."
Milo nodded, "Your grace, my Lord of Lannister, noble Prince of Dorne. You've heard the testimony. How Lady Aryanna Dayne and Lord Redfort were approached by Prince Daeron, in the dark of night, in Lord Redfort's case. How he spread gossip and slander about the King and Queen. What might have seemed like drunken rambling at the time, was in fact... a most devious plot. Prince Daeron was sounding out allies for treason against his grace. This is proven... by the testimony of the barkeep, that Prince Daeron knew no rebellion could succeed without the death of the dragons, and that he intended to make arrangements to acquire poison to eliminate them. That conversation was confirmed by our own Lord Baratheon as well. It is most sad, yes... but most certain."
Bettley sat down.
"Prince Daeron, have you anything to say for yourself before we judges deliberate on your fate?" Daemon asked sternly.

"I do." Daeron replied, rising. "What am I best known for?" He asked, addressing the Judges and the room. "Drinking and fucking. Causing an outrage." He bit into his apple again and set it down. "You really think I would be devious enough to plot against my own brother? You think I am clever enough for that? By the gods, I lost my eye in an idiotic attempt at bravery." He pointed at his eyepatch. "I have never cared much for politics or the state of the kingdom. As long as I can feed myself and have a woman in my bed I am happy. So think carefully about this supposed "evidence" and use your common sense." He turned to regard Trystane. "I did not plot against Daemon." His eyes moved to Connwell. "I did not wish to gain three of the witnesses here as my allies." He looked at Daemon. "And I would never even think about poisoning the dragons. May you judge me as you see fit." With that he sat down.

"So we will. Lord Conwell, Prince Trystane and myself will now retire to discuss the matter, then return to render our judgment," Daemon said. He stood, and gestured for the other judges to move to an adjoining room.

Steffon reaches into his boot-leg and pulls out a small silver flask of whiskey, taking a drink while the judges deliberate.

Bannen leans over to whisper to Quentyn, "Twenty stags says they call the poor one eyed bastard guilty."
"Two to one odds?" Quentyn asks in reply.
"Sure," Bannen says, and they surreptiously shake on it.

The King, Lord Conwell and Prince Trystyne returned and sat back down. The King spoke softly, "Speak now because we'll tolerate no outbursts while the verdict is announced."

Arya waited somewhat impatiently for the verdict, she just wanted to leave.
