Prince Andrey Baratheon calls the small council together to discuss the Assassination attempt on the Lord Regent Piers Bettley.
Grand Maester Nehmen comes directly from the sick room of Lord Bettley.
Due to Lord Arryn's extended Leave Lord Falgrave is asked to take his seat as his representative.

Andrey nods, and then asks, "Have you begun any research? Do your whispers," all can hear the scorn in his voice, "tell you anything?"

"They do your highness. According to correspondence intercepted by my whisperers, the perpetrator was indeed the Lord Hand. The Crow's agents had a hand in the plotting according to the information available to me. I would suggest some Goldcloaks be sent to apprehend them, so that they may be questioned." Francis inhaled, and continued his analysis.
"Clearly the Lord Hand had opportunity, he was Master of Whisperers for a long time and knows the keep well, his assassins could easily infiltrate the bed chambers of the Lord Regent. I am a bit baffled by the motive however. How much higher could that man seek to rise, he's already the Hand of the King? And why undertake the attempt while sitting in the Westerlands defenseless? Either be here to assume control and manipulate any subsequent investigation, or be secure in the Riverlands, ready to raise the flag of rebellion if you fail and are identified. That would be the logical course of action. Those are questions I would seek to answer."

Looking about he bellowed "Where's Falgrave?"

"Well? What is you want from me? A mummer's trick? I just arrived here from the Westerlands with little sleep and constant riding. You are going to have to elaborate on that 'well' if you wish any answers out of me." He looked around fro anything to drink.

Francis slide over a piece of parchment. "A list of names, of men here in King's Landing which my Whisperers tell me were involved in the plot Lord Falgrave. I would have them detained, and accessible for yourself and I to question."

Nehmen leaned forward and looked at the list once, then relaxed back to his seat. His eyes swung to Varner and he noddded once.
Andrey Baretheon was tense as he asked, "Do you not have men who can report to you?"

"Of course I have men, but men arrested for treason and assassination should be detained by the Goldcloaks so that none can question the legitimacy of their testimony at trial. Unless you'd rather not do things by the book in this case." Francis gave a meek smile, as if to say he had no preference either way.

"Allow me to go over the names a moment." Seth said, relaxing. The ride had most definitely been tiring.
He reached out for the list and scanned it quickly, less than a few seconds, and then closed his eyes.
"Hmm." He muttered.

"I see no problem with this list, though I would prefer to speak with these men personally, it cannot be helped, I suppose." He looked a bit angry.
"What exactly has happened? I have heard numerous rumors all along the journey. Tell me, what has happened to Piers, exactly?"
