"It could... and it could also be a lie planted to make us think one thing will doing another." Milo replied, "No, to me the how is irrelevant I have decided to figure the why. As far as I can tell, there is no reason to kill Arya Dayne. The crime makes no sense a meticulous planned crime, and no logical motive."

"The only motive is the fact that Lady Aryanna and His Grace shared a kiss once, and perhaps more though she claims not. If the queen had gotten wind of this..." he shrugged.
"But the feeble pieces of evidence in this case are unconnected. The description you were given does not match the queen's. Not that that removes her as a possible suspect, it merely does not corroborate it."

Milo studied Maekar for a moment, and then said, "If the Queen began eliminating woman who had visited her marriage bed... there would be more likely targets. And that is all I will say on that."

Maekar's head bobbed in slight surprise at this information. "Then, given nothing else to consider, I would say that the lack of evidence in this case is evidence itself. Clearly the perpetrator is someone familiar with working in the shadows and subterfuge."

Milo nodded, "Does that move me to the head of your list?" He offered a weak smile.

"No. If you were trying to kill Aryanna, she would be dead already."

Milo smiled, "Thank you." He bowed, "Then who does that leave?"

"I do not know. Quentyn Targaryen is a subtle man, but there is nothing more I can say about him that could connect him to any of this. Apart from that, I have not been part of court long enough to become aware of the more... discrete elements of it."

Milo nodded, "Well the two pillars have been removed from the game, and that has left a a wobbly structure. With out doubt people are scrabbling to fill their gaps."

"Without a doubt," Maekar agreed.

"New players mean new network's to infiltrate, and new plans to discover. I am behind where I should be, as hard as that is too admit." Milo said simply.

"The man is smart too. He left none of the failed assassins alive to carry his story." Milo studied his nails, "It is a brutal intelligence, but one I can respect."

"How he convinced one of my own chambermaids to attempt to kill Aryanna and then commit suicide to save from questioning is beyond me. Clearly skilled at manipulation, as well."

"Getting some one to murder is not so hard. To commit suicide however is interesting." Milo replied. "You should research your own servants. I always send men pretending to be agents of my enemies to try and bribe my own servants. It weeds out the weak, and makes the other suspicious of bribes."

"Hmm, yes, well, that will not exactly insure the security of my household so long as your spies remain within it."
