"Unfortunate. It would seem he alone knew the identity of the whomever hired his gang to kill Lady Aryanna. But if he is dead than perhaps the attacks on the girl's life will end."

Maekar nodded, "no, and I said only perhaps. It may be that in having to kill off Hardfall, the one who hired him will be dissuaded from pursuing Aryanna any longer."

Maekar frowned, "then it is unfortunate that Lady Aryanna has chosen to abandon the safety of the Eyrie. Likely there will be another attack soon, but there is little I can do to help her."
