"Bandits attacked your men," Connor asks astonished. "They are bold, or desperate, if they thought to overcome a group of armed soldiers."

"No... I meant my men were destroyed. They ran, and ran." Banefort replied.

Connor knits how brow in thought. "They routed your men you say? It seems they are more of a problem than we thought then. Did your men say how many strong they were, or what condition they were in? If they are mere bandits made bold then we may be in luck, but of they are a well-outfitted and organized force they will be harder to eliminate."

"I only recieved a vague poorly written letter. Would you like to investigate for me?" Banefort asked.

Connor nods, "As it is what I have been doing all along I would very much like to investigate the matter for you. I have seventy five of my own men here ready to go and another seventy five looking for the bandits as we speak. What did this poorly written letter say, if I may ask."

"That my men were routed by bandits from the north. They are regrouping and planning to attack again." Edwyn answered.

"Then I will bring my men there to reinforce them. Am I right in assuming I will have the command should I find them before they find their fight," Connor asks.

Banefort nodded, "Of course. I have no man I trust as much as you." Edwyn tripped and fell, covering his face in white milk.

Connor smiles and helps his lord up. "You must be more careful milord, we wouldn't want people seeing you with all this white cream covering your face." Connor chuckles as he realizes what he had just said, "Now where are these cows you were talking about?"

Banefort nodded, and pointed toward a large blue barn. "Over that way." He began to walk dabbing at his face with the back of a sleeve.

Connor nods and walks ahead of Banefort and enters the barn. He looks over the bovines in their stanchions, "So which of these fine girls makes the finest milk milord," Connors asks as he runs his hand along the back of the nearest cow.
"And now that I think on it, do you think my men ought to be enough to route these men that drove your own men off," he says leaning on the cow.

Banefort nodded, "Oh indeed. And Pariah has the best milk. It comes out as sweet as could be." He walked over to a large brown bull, and began to pat his back.

Lord Tully arrives back at the Twins with his prisoners. None have been harmed and the heir to White Harbor had been treated with the respect due his rank. Upon reaching the Twins Connor sends a runner to find Lord Banefort and has Sojen and his men brought to the great hall to await him there.
"I hope this mess will be dealt with soon Master Sojen, I am so very much itching to get my hands on some real bandits," he says with a smile.

Lord Baenfort arrives, and looks about, "These men are the bandits?" He walks over and spits on one of Tully's guards.
