Kenneth wanders around the camp, trying to kill time. Which when you are waiting for the next battle is a particularly challenging foe to best.
The city walls were indeed tall and thick and Kenneth was getting nervous about his side's chances for taking the city by force.
Jonathon is tagging along and is working on his rhymes.
There once was a man named Rick, Who had one really neat trick, He'd pull out his cock, and break tons of rocks, cause Rick had a 40 pound prick.

Kenneth makes a beeline for the tent. Finally some action he thought, he tries to time his arrival so he is not the first or last to arrive.

The other Sellswords and Militia captains are there, and General Antonious is standing on the dias that servants carry with him everywhere.
"Captains... I have returned from parley with the General of the Pentoshi cowards. They have requested single combat... and I've agreed. Now it falls to us to decide on a champion to break the Pentoshi morale, and turn them to our side."
Quinno guffawed, and moved to the back.

Single combat, Kenneth though, sounds fool hardy and dangerous, should be a perfect fit for me he looked around the room at the others.

Antonius waited patiently for the murmuring to subside. "We'll need volunteers. But to insure we have the best man, Our volunteers will face off with blunted blades, to determine who best represents us? Who wants the glory hhmmm?"
There were no hands.

"I'll give it a go," Kenneth says, "nothing breaks an armies will like their champion being bested by a man in chicken plate mail."

Antonious sighed, "Alright, how about for 50 gold dragons? Anyone then?"
The Captain of the Love's Lancers of Lys went up, "Are we to fight with lances, ahorse?"
"Uh.. aye.. Chicken man, can you agree to that?"

"Is that how the champion of Pentos will fight? I don't mind fighting on horse but what good is it if we have the best lancer if were going to fight a melee to decide the fate of the city?"

"Like as not they will send a Lancer yes," Antonious confirmed, "But if one or both were to fall from their horse? It may go to the ground, it is impossible to predict. Was that a yes?"

"Very well, Take a moment to have your young squire," Antonious gestured at the dwarf, "prepare you, and we'll begin."

Kenneth nodded not ready to tell anyone else that he didn't have a squire and left to get prepared with the help of Jonathon and Codswallow.

"Guess I am it," Kenneth says as his competitor goes down. "When is this duel going to happen?"
