"That's good of you. He's a decent man from what I have heard. When the court moves again we can all travel together perhaps." Her melancholy tone brightened slightly, "Did you ride a mule up the mountain?"

"No, I came up in the winch because of the girls. I wouldn't trust them with the mules and Leona is so little she doesn't understand things like danger. How long are you staying here, cousin?"

"When someone gets fed up with me and tells me to leave." She giggled. "I don't know, how long are you planning to stay, since your mother won't see you?"

"A couple of weeks, probably, but I expect we will go back to Runestone afterwards. Jon doesn't like Court much and I want him to be happy so I must wait a little while before I go back."

"Oh so it's like that hm?" She nodded. "I'd think you'd want to go straight back to court when you had the chance! He's not forcing you to go to Runestone right?"

Joanna shrugged.
"Not at all but I must balance the happiness of my husband with my desire to return to Court. Jon misses me terribly when we're apart. I miss him too and, much as I love the court, it would be foolish to jeopardise my marriage when I don't have to. If you don't want to ever leave Court, Arya, you will have to marry a lord who spends all his time there, otherwise you will have to balance the two, the same as I do."

"Hmph, you may be right. Not like that will be happening anytime soon of course. Is it interesting at Runestone?"

"Interesting isn't the word I would use, though you may find it so since you haven't visited before. Peaceful is better," she said.

"The Eyrie is peaceful. Not a lot of people that come and go however since it's so hard to get to. But most people seem nice. It can be a bit too peaceful at time."

"I know that feeling. Well, I am here now so at least you will have me to talk to, and I will see if I can go back to court with you when you are ready. There's no sense in us being bored," she said. "Do you miss the Court dreadfully?"

"I don't know if I miss it dreadfully, but I can't help feel that I'm missing out on fun things, and being the first to know about what everyone is wearing and who looks the best. And if there are any new knights or lords in attendance..Oh I could go on." She smiled. "I would like to go to King's Landing first though, to see my father buried."

"So you should. Although..."
Joanna paused. thoughtfully.
"Do you not think your father would prefer to be burned at Summerhall?"

"No. Why would he have wanted that?"

"Oh."
Joanna felt awkward once.
"Because it was the gift from my mother to yours, and in a sense to your father as well though it was your mother who held it in her own name. I thought the place might have had meaning for your father, that's all."

"Oh alright, well I'll consider it. Starfall would be best I think but I don't think he'd mind where he was buried so long as his family was there to see him off." She rubbed her throat, "Let's talk about something else. How are your children and Septa Alina?"
