After praying and getting her things assorted in her room, she put on the necklace the king gave her and brushed her hair and made sure to fix herself up after the long journey. She strode into the great hall and figured to put on a brave face in her new surroundings. She looked around and hoped there would be someone to talk to.

On her way back she bumped into a tall, older man, in perhaps his late fifties, with silver hair, and a a majestic mustache.
"You'll forgive me young lady, I should be more careful," he said quickly.

"It's alright," She inspected his moustache with a smile, "We all make mistakes. I haven't been paying attention after my long journey here."

"well those steps are quite the climb, so I don't blame you in the least," the older man said, his mustache twitching slightly.

"What is your name Ser, I aim to know as many people here as I can. I imagine I'll run into everyone after a short time. I'm Lady Aryanna Dayne." She curtsied.

"Well, I wouldn't waste your time getting to know me, I'm not to be here long. I came to see after Lady Rhaenys, but she is not well. Lord Edgar Egan, at your service," He bowed.

"Oh pleased to meet you. I was hoping to see the Queen mother as well." She searched her brain for a fact that was not forthcoming, "I'm sorry to say I've not heard of House Egan, is it here in the Vale?"

"Yes, that's right. I'm pleased that a beautiful lady from Dorne would have heard of us," Egan said with a smile.

"Well, not immediately, it takes so long to get here that I may as well stay for awhile, and see if perhaps the Queen mother improves." Egen said.

"Yes, what did you mean to speak to her about if you don't mind me asking." She wondered what a small lord would want from the former Queen.

"Oh.. It's just nice to speak with someone your own age anymore," Egen said, with a chuckle.

"Oh, I'm sorry. I did not mean to offend you. I'm curious usually. Well it's truly unfortunate that she is sick. Well when I was with the Queen and her ladies I was the youngest, they were always older than me. So I've always been talking to those older than me." She grinned. "Do you know the Eyrie well?"

"Not so well, I've only been here once or twice. It's too far for most to come, so we stay down in the Vale. And you didn't offend me dear, I was just jesting with you," Egen says.
