Ary nodded, she had nightmares every once in a while about it. "I don't want anyone seeing me play around with knives."

"No-one will. If you want I can teach you in your chambers, or my own, or even with Rhaenys when she is awake to help or feels strong enough to."

"Ok then, you can come to my chambers, my guard may not like me with blades and things like that though."

"Your guard wont be there all of the time to protect you. I will talk to him and explain."

Ary nodded, "That's fair enough, he's a good man." She led the way to her room.

//////////
After settling the children in and ordering her women to unpack her own belongings, Joanna headed down to the great hall. She had meant to visit her mother but was told that Rhaenys was resting. She'd go back later. In the meantime, she looked for someone to talk to as she waited for a servant to bring her a cup of hot spiced wine.

Joanna hadn't known that Arya was in the Eyrie so she called out to her younger cousin in surprise.
"Arya! How are you? What are you doing here?"

Arya wondered who the familiar voice was as she had turned th ecorner and then came back into the hall and looked around. "Oh Jo!" She called out and came toward her cuz. "I'm doing better, although it's hard to keep busy here. I've been mostly reading. Did you just arrive?"

"Yes. I hoped we would be able to see Mother but it seems unlikely at present."
She enfolded Arya in a warm embrace.
"I heard about your poor father. I'm so sorry for you. I don't understand why you would be targeted so."

Ary shrugged, "I try not to think about it too much. I was quite looking forward to seeing your mother when I got here but they told me she is sick."

"Yes. They shouldn't have refused you since you are Mother's niece but they have even less reason to refuse me. Even sick women like to see their daughters from time to time. Have you been treated kindly, otherwise?"

"Yes, everyone has been kind. I miss court though, it's awfully quiet here in comparison, though I think I'm used to the slow pace." Ary touches the side of her face and sighed, "The Queen must want to be alone I suppose, if she doesn't even want to see you."

"That doesn't sound like my mother. If she's that badly ill she will surely want company."
Joanna's voice was sad and worried.
"I miss Court too but Jon wanted me to stay with him a while so that's what I'm doing."
