Maekar is admitted, and shown to the King. Daemon is looking through a sheaf of parchments, and shoves them into a portfolio when he sees his brother, "Greetings Maek, how is yourself?"

Maekar bowed before his brother when he is admitted. "Fine, Your Grace, thank you. I hope I find you well also."

Daemon dramatically looks over one shoulder, and then slowly, but just as dramatically looks over the other, "Is there some one around that I do not see? We are brothers Maek, and alone we can act it. Now sit down and stop acting like you have a broomstick shoved up your ass."

Maeker nodded impassively. "Yes, Daemon," he said, taking the offered seat.
"I have come because it would appear our two sisters have decided that Rhaenys Targaryen's children have not been spending enough time together. They would like for the seven of us to meet outside of King's Landing and... enjoy quality time. As mother is with me in the Eyrie, and too ill to travel, it makes sense to make my keep the location of this get together."

Daemon stood, and touched his chin, "Is she well enough to handle such an ordeal?" He tapped his fingers against his leg. "She has told me in letters, that she does not want company."

"Marianne is eager to see mother again and is sure having her children by her side would make her feel better. She seems to feel there is certain urgency to the whole thing. I will write to mother and see if she is well enough for the occasion."

Daemon nodded, "Well, if the whole clan is going I would not want to miss the event. Perhaps you would not mine delaying the trip to fit into my schedule better, and perhaps until the next time I make Runestone or the Eyrie the home of my court."

Maekar nodded, "yes, this is why I thought to come to you first, because of the demands on your time. I will speak with Marianne and arrange with her to have it happen at a later date that coincides with your travelling to the Vale."

Daemon sighed thankfully, "I am sorry, but so little of my time, is my time anymore. I get obligated to do so much for the Crown. I would have it no other way, but some times I begin to resent the crown."

"Understandable," Maekar said, "but the crown is yours all the same, and resenting it won't make it any less difficult. If you find your time too much in demand then trust in your advisers more."

"I already rely on them more then I should." Daemon replied, "They are good men, perhaps too good. I need to do this for myself." He sat back down relaxed, and leaned back in his seat.

"There is not much comfort I can give you, Daemon, the burden is yours and yours alone. You are right that is it important for you to take these duties upon yourself, but a king must know when to delegate, or else his duties will overcome him. Your family are with you, if you have need of my services, call on me."

Daemon nodded in understanding, "Of course. You are a strong candidate for any position that becomes available. You are not as weak as our brother Daeron." He chuckled, "No you are much more ambitious."
