Arya grinned at the Queen and hopped onto the bed next to her. She looked at Joanna expectantly.

Joanna looked at the poem. It was one she knew well. She even knew some of the stanzas by heart, but not the entire poem.
"Come live with me and be my love, And we will all the pleasures prove That valleys, groves, hills, and fields, Woods, or steepy mountain yields.
And we will sit upon rocks, Seeing the shepherds feed their flocks, By shallow rivers to whose falls Melodious birds sing madrigals."
She read at an easy pace, her voice correctly inflecting the word. Then she looked up to see the responses of the other two women.
OOC - I feel obliged to acknowledge that this is an extract from Christopher Marlowe's The Passionate Shepherd to His Love which I picked randomly from my course handbook (I have no inclination to write a fake Westerosi poem...)

Morgan clapped, "Oh you do so very well Joanna, I think we've found you a permanent job!"

Arya clapped with her small hands as well, "Indeed, lovely Joanna."

Joanna beamed at the two ladies.
"Well, I'm no trained raven to entertain at will but I will be happy to recite some poems when I am at liberty."

Arya came to see the Queen when Becca wanted some alone time.

The Queen is sitting on the day lounger, petting a kitten and staring off into space. The kitten looks somewhat desperate to get out of the Queen's lap, but is being battered by the relentless stroking.
"Ah Arya dear," the Queen says, smiling pleasantly, "it is good to see you safe after last night's misfortune."

"And you my Queen, I'm sorry I have not been by your side, but Aerie is sick and Becca wanted my company. Are you doing all right?" Arya asked concered and knelt by the Queen and the kitty.

"MEROW!!!!" The kitten demanded,
"Shoosh, be a good girl," the Queen soothed, before turning her eyes to Arya. "I'm doing alright Arya. It was a ghastly scene, but Ser Harold kept me shielded from the most gruesome of it. Shame. King Daeron is very upset, more so than I'd have thought to be honest." She tilted her head as if to say 'isn't that odd."
The kitten attacked her hand in a valiant effort to loosen her death grip but the Queen gave it a little bop on the head to put it into submission.

"I'm sorry to hear that, I understand that Lord Talyn was your husbands best man. And I could not help but overhear that his grace also dismissed Lord Trant. I am worried my queen, have you been able to soothe him?"

"Yes, he is starting to calm I think. He has so many things to worry about as a King, I try to be a soothing influence," She giggled behind her hand, and the kitten saw its chance, and leapt to safety, landing on Arya's lap, and burying its claws into her thighs in an effort to stay up right.
"Naughty kitty!' the Queen exclaimed, frowning slightly, "Is Becca and Aerie taking the news well?"

Arya screeched, lifted th ekitten off her and put it on the ground. "Well Aerie has been sent to the maester, she is not able to move without help, nor can she speak." She rubs her thigh and wipes her eye. "I'm scared for her. And Becca seems to be recovering slowly. I'm glad that the King is calming, surely there are many that are already trying to fill Lord Talyn's void."

The Queen nodded, "Yes, but Daemon has some ideas about how to keep them in check, everything will be fine, although I'm afraid I won't see as much of my sweet husband, if he's so focused on running the Kingdom," She frowned slightly.

"Maybe you can surprise him during the day, we always need a break from work. And there is always the night my queen. How long will court be suspended, I am going to greatly miss seeing everyone, the feasts were so pleasant." Arya got on the couch next to the Queen. "I am not a good mourner, I don't think, I don't like feeling so bad all the time, I cried when they took Aerie away. She was like a sister to me."

The queen motioned for Arya to come and sit closer to her.
"I know dear, I know, its all very sad," the Queen said, sniffling slightly herself.
