The Massive Red Keep is the home, while court is in session, of King Daemon and Queen Morgan. It is heavily guarded at all times by the black-mailed soldiers of the Lord Hand, and carefully observed by the watchful eyes and ears of Lord Bettley.

Steffon is shown into see his half brother. Daemon is plucking at a lute idly as Steffon is shown in. Putting the instrument down, he stands and smiles, "My brother. How are you?"

"Very well, your grace," Steffon said. "My son was born two moons ago. You and your own sons are well also, I hope?"

Daemon nodded, "We are quite well thank you. Sit, please. Would you like some wine?"

"Yes, and I thank you for it," Steffon said accepting the glass and sitting easily. "Have you seen mother lately? I have not been able to make the trip up to the Eyrie and Maekar told me that she is unable to correspond properly on her own."

Daemon tapped his finger, "She does not write you?" He shook his head, "We can ask Maekar how she is. He has just come from her. Must of the letters I get are short, and rather sparse of information."

"Yes, I have been meaning to speak with him, though I did not wish to do so at the party. I had another reason for coming to you this day, however, a boon I would ask of you," Steffon said, looking slightly embarrassed.

"Do not feel ashamed Steffon, it is one of the faults of Kinghood. Men come by often to beg favors. What do you seek?" Daemon asked.

Lord Rhaegar, after spending some time with his cousin, the King, explores the halls. He briefly speaks to a serving wench before being pointed towards the quarters belonging to his sister.
He makes his way there, and raps lightly on the oak door.

"Do not feel ashamed Steffon, it is one of the faults of Kinghood. Men come by often to beg favors. What do you seek?" Daemon asked. Steffon sat straight. "I want to buy Red Rain from the crown. It has been in the treasury since Lady Martell sent it back to the capital, I remember my father telling me. I suppose I could make up any number of excuse as to why it shouldn't just be collecting dust, but the truth is that I want it," he said, still looking a bit sheepish.

Daemon chuckled, "You know why it is still there, do you not?"

"I had assumed because the last Drumm died childless in Dorne," Steffon said, though his tone indicated that he now doubted this to be correct.

"Because there is no price to be set to it. No other Valyrian sword has sold in so long that is value can only be estimated." Daemon shrugged, "We talked of bestowing it on some one who had proven his worth, but none have done anything worth that blade in twenty years."

"Ah," Steffon said, realizing. "Well your esteemed councillors leave little opportunity for young men to prove their heroism, although I suppose that is the price of stability so I ought not complain."
