Daemon nodded, "Well they will not be around forever. Come back when you think you have earned it. I hope you understand, I love you my brother, but a king is not suppose to have brothers."

Steffon smiled. "Worry not, I know that there can be no favoritism at court. Perhaps if I am lucky war will break out across the Narrow Sea and I shall have a crack at some glory," he said with a wink.

"Milo almost assures me that is definite. All the free cities wish to prove themselves free of Braavos' iron grasp, and Braavos has never looked weaker. If I had any grievance with the Titan, now would be the time to exact it." Daemon replied.

Arya rubbed her temples, needing to take a break from watching her friend and tending to the Queen. She wanted to know what happened to the mystery knight Aiden Sand among other things, but had not been able to talk to anyone or find anything out after the tragedy. Nor had she had a chance to tease Lady Tarth. She strode into the Hall, expecting it to be mainly empty as the festivities had worn down due to the Lord Hand's death.

Arya was surprised to see Ser Aidan Sand setting at a table alone eating slowly. He did not look up as she entered.

She approached him carefully, eyeing him along the way. "Ser?" She said, tilting her head. "May I join you?"

Aidan looked up and studied her closely for a moment, and then slowly nodded, "Please have a seat." He stood and pulled back a chair for her beside his own.

"Thank you. I'm Aryanna Dayne, lady in waiting to the Queen." She smiled one of her best smiles and then her face donned a look of concern, "With your achievements in the tourney I had thought that I would have to fight through a crowd to see you. Your skill is wondrous."

Aidan bowed his head, "The other more recent, tragic events have driven off my well wishers. I appreciate your words though." He studied her again and nodded to himself.

"If you don't mind me inquiring, I like hearing a good tale so I wanted to inquire about how life was like living as a sellsword in the Free Cities. Didn't you ever miss Dorne?"

Aidan nodded, "I did. Yet if I wanted to practice my chosen field, I had to travel across the sea. It is peaceful in Dorne, and has been for some time." He pushed his food around the plate, and asked, "You must tell me what is like serving the King and Queen? Are they as good as they seem?"

"Oh they're both wonderful. At least to me." She giggled. "I spend most of my time with the Queen and we talk about lady things and the like but I don't get to see the King too often. But I understand the King always has an open ear. The King and Queen have a good relationship all be told. Have you had a chance to speak with the King after your victory?"

Aidan nodded, "He invited me to stay in the Red Keep for a short time. He said he was considering offering me a position with his men. I have never been tied with vows to any lord, and I wanted to know more of his nature before saying any words."

"Well I can only sing his praises, so if you're looking for critique you must find it elsewhere. Has his grace offered you the Kingsguard position?"

Aidan tapped his finger on the table, "I think he was considering it. But he was subtle about it. He talked of my services, and later the importance of the King's guard, but never linked the two."
