Lord Davydd Redwyne arrives at the camp at Old Oak. He looks bloodied and bruised, but asks the guards to speak with the Hand and Ser Tomas Florent.

He is shown in to where Lord Trant, and Lord Baratheon are sitting at a table drinking wine. A man is sent to find Ser Florent. Eustace stood, and offered Davydd a glass of wine. "You look like a thirsty man."

"We Redwyne's are always thirsty. I thank you Lord Hand." He bowed but then drank heavily from the cup.
"The Shields have been taken. Not a decisive victory...but the Ironborn have fled."

Eustace smiled, "That is good. I want to get a little fighting in before the end arrives." He smiled and toasted Davydd, "To the brave men of the Arbor. Congratulations."

"Thank you." He nods and toasted with him.
"Should the Ironborn return I came to ask for support from Ser Tomas' army of Reachmen. I know not the situation of the land army, but no doubt the Shields could use a better garrison than simply my ships. I could ferry over a few thousand men to hold the islands. Whatever the army can spare...if anyone."
"Perhaps even this could be used to force the Ironborn into a surrender."

"Not the shields. We should hold them, and maybe garrison them, but we must strike for the Iron Islands themselves. Taking their homeland gives us power. The Shields are not important enough." Eustace replied.

He nodded. "We could leave a small garrison and strike the Ironborn's home."
"The Islands have no defense save for the remaining ships of Captain Redoak. I cannot risk an attack on the Ironborn home with whats left of my fleet alone. Is there any support in sight that could help me to attack the Iron Islands."

Eustace frowned. "It seems unlikely. I have word that perhaps the Lannisters intend to support us. But there is no other fleet besides."

"We have thirty ships, mi lord we could order from Storm's End but it will take time and I believe the Mander has another 15 ships, we could move a few thousand Manderman to the Shields and hold it to free up Redwyne's ships. That might be enough to launch an attack although if the Ironborn returned we may be stuck since even a united realm could not match their power at sea."

"I agree, but that is why we must force a battle on the earth." Eustace replied.

"Well mi lord while I am all for striking the Iron Islands, I am wary of putting a large contingent of men there with no way to resupply them or retreat should the Ironfleet return. They survive by reaving so if their fleet returned in number and chased off Redwyne who ever was out there would starve in no time flat," Rowan shudders at the thought of thousands of Stormland troops slowly wasting away.
"We should act quickly, land whatever forces we can raze the whole fucking island, put every Ironman to death by hangman's noose free their thralls and beat feet as quickly as we can. Of course there is one other problem," Rowan said leaning to whisper it to Eustace.

Davydd laughed quietly to himself at the secrecy. Apparently he could not be trusted.
"I ask that men of the Far Reach garrison the Shields. The Mander can provide it's troops and ships to crush the remaining Ironborn fleet along with my remaining ships. Then we can raise the Islands as you have suggested. If there is evidence of the return of the Ironborn fleet we must flee the islands. There is no hope of victory as you've said. But perhaps the raiding of their own homeland will discourage them."

Rowan frowns at Redwynne and looks at Eustace, "Lord Dawnrose's men's should provide whatever small garrison we intend to leave on the Shields, unless you have other designs for the Islands then returning them to the Mander, a course that I caution would be very very unwise in my opinion, mi lord."
"I am sure some other compensation can be found for the blood and treasure sacrificed by the Far Reach especially with participation on a raid on the Iron Islands. . ." Rowan says turning back to Davydd, "course I would have half expected a man of the arbor to leap at an opportunity to give the Ironborn a taste of their own medicine," Rowan said licking his lips slightly.

"Oh trust me Lord Trant, every drop of Ironborn blood I spilled was still not enough to sate my appetite."
He drinks the rest of his glass of wine down. The clears his throat and speaks. "However, I think it only proper that the region that sacrificed it's men and it's ships hold the Shields. After this war we can decide what are to be done with the islands. some compensation is surely in order, and as I understand the Shields have not belonged to the Mander for some time now. For now I will ask Ser Tomas Florent to hold the Islands, if we are to attack the Iron Islands."
