The feast in Driftmark's Great Hall.
Queen Rhaenys occupies the place of Honor at the centre of the table on the dais. To her right sits the Princess of Dorne while Aegon Targaryen sits immeadiately to her left. To Aegon's left sits Lady Obara and then Ser Valarr Velaryon. Lady Ariadne sits to the right of her sister. Lord Velaryon sits next to her on her left.
The Hall is crowded with tables. Many of the knights and other important citizens of Driftmark have been invited and all are eager to see the Queen and her distinguished companions.

As the Queen entered the Hall with her companions, all heads turn.
Lord Velaryon, on the dais with his uncle and brother made the announcements as the Queen and her party moved through the Hall towards the dais.
"Queen Rhaenys Targaryen, First of her Name, Queen of the Andals and the Rhoynar and the First Men, Lady of the Seven Kingdoms and Protector of the Realm.
"Princess Aurora Martell, Princess of Dorne.
"Her sister Lady Ariadne Martell.
"Lady Obara Ladybright, friend and companion of the Queen"
The whole host present in the hall kneel in silence, until the Queen and her party are seated together with Lord Velaryon, Aegon Targaryen and Ser Valarr.
Then a general chatter broke out around the Hall as the first course was served.

Lord Oswell sits a the end of the dais, grumbling to himself for being ignored. He picks from the first course, eying the guests that had gathered for the feast.

Both Lord Aurane and Aegon looked sharply at the man.
While Lord Tully had not been in the original landing party and had come ashore later, a place had been lately reserved for him at one of the lower tables. It was the one closest to the dais, where Aurane's two younger sisters were seated, along with Milo Bettley and other important dignitaries.
However when the Queen said nothing, Aurane motioned to his brother Ser Valarr, who with a face like thunder, gave up his seat for Lord Tully and went to sit with his sisters.

Ser Mearn stood close to where the Queen was seated, ever observing the room for any kind of threats to the Queen. People here might be family, but that didn't make Mearn relax one bit. He knew how little family mattered in the steps to power and survival, though he had now a whole bunch of brothers that he trusted with his life.
He gave Lord Tully a quick nod of respect, the only one that he held some trust in of the party gathered, though he still would not let his guard down. He wished that they would all return to King's Landing soon, it was easier to protect the Queen there.

Rhaenys turned to her cousin Aegon.
"So, here we are. The Martell girl is pretty, is she not?"

Aegon smiled.
"The younger one? Yes she is. Both sisters are quite striking."

Oswell returned the nod, knowing how serious the knight took his position. The Riverland lord gestured to the man who had given up his seat, a friendly smile on his face.

"Yes. The Martells are blessed when it comes to good looks," Rhaenys commented. "Will she do for your nephew?"

Aegon smiled.
"I don't see why not. They appear to be getting on quite well together", he said, nodding to where the two were engaged in conversation.

"They do," she agreed. "And what of you? How are you?"

"Eager to marry.:" Aegon replied taking a draught of his wine.
He lowered his voice. "I'd like your formal approval to marry the bride I have picked out, that I mentioned in my last letter."

The Riverland lord gestured to the man who had given up his seat, a friendly smile on his face. Ser Valarr, still with a face like thunder, forced himself to compose his features and respectfully gave a short bow to Lord Tully. He knew who the man was but that didn't mean didn't have to like being forced to give up his place on the dais.

Oswell watches the man take his seat, knowing he mustn't be overly happy about giving up his higher seat. He makes a mental note to speak with the man later on to thank him and avoid bad feelings.
In the mean time Oswell makes small talk with those sitting to either side of him.
