Anne smiled at Rhodri's easy manner. "No... Rhod." She fumbled out his name before continuing., "I haven't ever been far from home. The journey was very exciting. I haven't ever been on a ship before, and never to Gulltown... or King's Landing. This must be the largest city in the world!"

"Oldtown is nearly as large as King's Landing, and it has the great Citadel of the Maesters. Perhaps you will visit there someday. And our cousin Elane lives across the Narrow Sea in Pentos, and they say that it dwarfs King's Landing, and is thousands of years older," Rhodri says. "There is much for you to see yet. You should see the Great Sept, and the Red Keep, before you go."

Rhod's voice breaks midsentence, briefly, his eyes flitting to Elena, "Becca, she spent some time in the Summer Isles. But she never went back as an adult, though we oft talked about it, when we lived at Storm's End."

Rhodri pauses. After a quiet moment, he says "We should speak of happier things. Our cousin Mallery is newly wed, and soon, you shall be too. Let us raise our horns in toast!"
Rhodri leads a round of drinking for the men and women of the Vale. The hawk returns to his arm.

Aranya stroked the hawk until it left her arm, and found Anne. "I must congratulate you on your upcoming wedding," she said.

Roland raised his horn in salute and gave a roar, before drinking deep. After the toast he caught up with his sister for a while when Aranya came up. Roland introduced them.
Anne pursed her lips after Aranya had spoken, "Thank you. I don't know what to think about it. My parents did not really prepare me, I don't think they thought I'd ever need to serve the family in this way."

Aranya shrugged. "An arranged marriage is a bitch, but you'll enjoy it, where you're going." She pressed a mug of ale into the girl's hand.

Anne stopped and stared at Aranya after she cursed. Roland smirked at his sister's discomfort. The girl took the mug and drank deep and broke a smile. Her smile faded as she said, "I don't even know where I'm going yet."
