Emelia's litter arrived at Bronzehall, and her lead porter asked if the Princess could see Lord Rhodri Arryn.

She is escorted in with all due courtesy to the vast hall at the center of the almost fortress-like manor. Many of the Vale Lords, who had ridden into the city for the wedding with the Blackwoods, are feasting around the long wooden tables. Horns of ale, cider and mead flow freely and venison and wild boar decorate the tables and fill the room with the scent of roasted meat.
Lord Arryn strides forward to greet the Princess, bowing his head. "Your highness, a rare call upon this humble home."

Emelia smiled at Lord Arryn and nodded her head in turn. "Lord Rhodri, no home is humble if it is your townhouse," she responded. "I trust you remain well?"

"I do. I do not mind King's Landing quite so much when I do not have to wear the weight of a chain of hands. I am certain you have met Lady Elena Plumm," he says, re-introducing Lord Baldwin's daughter, who is standing beside him, "and Jon is hereabout somewhere."

Emelia smiled at Lady Elena. "Indeed," she responded as she looked at Elena. "And as for Lord Jon, that's actually what I wished to talk to you about. It looks as if he will not be marrying Lady Taria after all. Given the circumstances, do you think he would be opposed to marrying my sister?"

Rhodri arches his eyebrows in surprise. "It is true that he is no longer betrothed to Taria, though I still wish for the young lady's safety. Your sister...that's ... Doria, I believe? I don't think I've met her."
"I believe association betwixt Dorne and the Vale could only be good for both our houses, and I know Jon is eager to wed, perhaps have an heir."

Emelia smiled. "Yes, Doria. I don't think she's actually been to King's Landing since Aemon's death. I am eager to see that she finds a husband worthy of her station, and it would be good to be able to consider the Royces my kinsmen."
She lowered her voice so only Rhodri could hear. "And you won't need to worry about her poisoning him for any failings as a husband."

Rhodri chuckles. "Good. But let's not tell him that," he says.

Emelia smiled. "Of course not. Ask Jon, I'll ask Doria, and she should be up in King's Landing within the month."

"Excellent. Perhaps by then we'll be done with the sticky remnants of rebellion," Rhodri says. "And then we can return home." His eyes subconsciously glance up to a hawk perched along the high rafters of the great hall. "I would like to see my sons again."

Emelia nodded. "And I need to check back on Sunspear soon. See you at the wedding."
The Princess bowed and took her leave.

Rhodri and Elena return to the feast. The hawk circles down and lands on the leather bracer on Rhodri's stump hand as he summons Jon over to talk.

The arrival of the young lady Anna Royce spark more toasts and cheers from among the knights and retinue feasting in the hall. Rhodri goes to greet his cousin, glancing around for her brother.

Anne enters the hall after arriving by ship. She was tall like all the Royce of Tedmyn's Down stood just a bit over five feet ten inches, and had a bit more of her mother's color than Roland did-- fairer of skin and hair both. She's pretty, though not conventionally beautiful with very large eyes that make her disproportioned to some and quite striking to others. She shrinks away from the cheers but tries to bravely offer a smile, and then begins to stare a hole in he floor.
Roland springs up from the table, near spilling his ale at the sight of his sister, and rushes to meet her, shouting, "Anne!" In his exuberance Roland almost collides with Rhodri before regaining his composure.
Anne looks up and smiles broadly before they embrace. "It's very good to see someone familiar. I didn't know any of the knights who brought me here, and I'd never been on a ship, or seen Gulltown! It's all so---" She trails off, remembering where she was and noticing Rhodri standing patiently nearby.

Rhodri smiles as he watches the brother and sister embrace, then steps forward to introduce himself. Since he had attended the wedding that day, he was still in his bisected doublet of blue and rust. He had released the hawk but his offhand -- his handless arm -- was still wrapped in thick falconer's leather.
He bows his head at the young woman, and introduces himself. "Greetings, I am Rhod. You must be my cousin Anna. Welcome to King's Landing."
