Milo bowed and followed, "MY Queen, I believe you should have asked for a servant to escort us to our rooms. We would have arrived a solid hour earlier then valiant Ser Leonys' time."

"Don't be cruel, Milo," Rhaenys said, then whispered "I would not have hrut that man 's pride for the world. His courage is truly remarkable. It hardly mattered taht our going was slow, for all it was frustrating. It serves us well to treat our hosts kindly, where possible. Ser Leonys must have been a great knight when he was unwounded."

Milo shook his head, "Below average. He could never ride well, and he favored his right too greatly when he fought with sword." He smiled, "Last time I was here he still was Master of arms and trained the young warriors."

"That is an honourable role. The world always needs young wariors trained up," Rhaenys said in a tone of mild reproof. "Do you dislike Ser Leonys, Milo?"

"No he was a good enough teacher." Milo replied, "I just have a tendency to speak the harsh truth. I apologize your grace."

"Never mind, just be careful while we're here. I don't see the sense in antagonising anyone while we're here. Our position is difficult enough and the courtesies must be observed no matter how we really feel."
Her tone showed that she did not necessarily wish to be polite to the lords when she met them. She was dreading the meeting, as it happened, but could not let anyone know it.

Milo smiled, "I will your grace. You know how out of control my tongue can be. But I will shall try and use it for good, not evil." He bowed deeply.

She nodded and whispered to him once more.
"if you can you might try to discredit those who speak against me, so that their followers realise that I'm really not so bad after all."

Milo laughed, "I will whisper into every ear how wise, strong and beautiful you are. I will say you reward your friends well, and your enemies should be quaking in their boots."

Rhaenys laughed too and felt better for it.
Do that, but try nnot to laugh when you're doing it. Discredit the others first, though, give their followers reason to doubt them. That's more important right now."

Milo nodded, "It will be whispered at every tavern, and ale house in the city." He scooped three colored stones out of his pocket and begins to juggle them. "You have a truly wonderful laugh, better then bells. It is an honor to cause that beautiful music." He winked at her.

"Flatterer! Best save that silver tongue for your wife," Rhaenys said, still laughing.
Spotting Oswell, she beckoned him over.
"Oswell, come join us. Ser Milo is to give Obara and myself a tour of the city. It's as well to get to know the place while we await news from the Eyrie, I think."

Ser Selwyn Stone arrives in Gulltown, paying the small merchant ship which had carried him from Duskendale. No merchant ship from Driftmark would sail to the Vale, so he'd hired a skiff crewed by three men the Blackwater Bay to Duskendale before finding passage to Gulltown.
He got off the ship in Gulltown, making his way to the north gate and riding west, toward the Eyrie.

"I think for the time being I will maintain a respectful distance from my wife. She may have committed some act of treason, and I dare not be tainted with that brush." Milo chuckled then, "Plus my wife does not care for my tongue when I am speaking, she appreciates for other acts."
