Ariel's tent, part of her small camp-within-a-camp near Rhaenys' tent.

Rekhmire, Shahrizai's guard and translator, trods to Ariel's tent. He tips his hat to Ariel's servant and gives her a small letter. "For the princess."
Inside the note:
I have made my choice and am following the army once again. I would like to see you, but I understand you are well occupied with matters of state. If you ever feel the need for release, I am here for you, to make you feel cherished and loved.
-Your friend, Shahrizai

Ariel read the letter, her face rapidly wrinkling in slight disgust. She considered a moment, then when she was done, she turned her gaze to Rekhmire. Her face was devoid of expression, her voice devoid of tone.
"Tell your mistress that I will be free in two days, assuming I live through tomorrow."

"I will bring your message to my lady, princess." He nodded.

Ariel nodded and went back to her papers.

Rekhmire returns with Shah in tow. "Lady Shahrizai would like to speak to the Princess."

Ariel's guard allowed entry. Ariel was, of course, elbow-deep in papers.
She looked up at Shahrizai. "You've come rather earlier than expected," she commented, lips thin.

"It was at my maids urgings, though that is not much of an excuse. What have I done to offend you?"

Ariel looked at Shahrizai. "Offend me?" she asked, then thought a moment. "I do not know what to make of the letter you sent me; whether you were advertising your services as a courtesan, or instead asking me to take you to my arms. It's only if it were the latter that I would be offended, though the former would still be rather crass." She smirked. "In Westeros, one does not propose to a lover by letter."

Her face twisted in horror and she nearly fell to her knees, "No! That was not my intention of my letter. I enjoy your company and thought you'd want to see me in your spare time to get away from all your work."

Ariel nodded to Shahrizai. "Then my apologies," she said, a trifle more warmly. "Perhaps it is merely that you are new to our language." A full-on smile broke out. "The word 'release' in Westerosi is often used to mean sexual climax, and that is how I thought you meant it." She set her current paperwork aside, and called a maid to bring Shahrizai a cushion.
As Ariel fully turned towards Shahrizai, the merchant could see her wearing a silver bracelet, studded with rubies, that had once been worn by Queen Saella.

Her voice caught in her throat. "Hers..?" Was only what she could manage. She pointed at the bracelet.

Ariel looked at Shahrizai, then at the bracelet. "Oh. This was Saella's bracelet, yes." She smiled softly. "It was a gift from my cousin the Queen. She's growing into a very thoughtful woman."

"I see." She regained her composure. "I'm relieved to clear the confusion. I have known people that have been drowned in tides of work, and do not feel appreciated by others, I only felt that you would welcome someone to talk to. It need not be about work, but you can release your stresses in conversation." She sighed and rolled a ring around her finger. "I did make my choice to be here, though a small part regrets it, but it may be worth it on more than one level. I am a fool, but I hope you can understand that I am new to many things and I suppose my background as a courtesan entails that I solve things only with sexual encounters. I'd like to see you more often and not when I fit in between papers. It makes me feel unwanted. Maybe it's selfish..."

Ariel sighed. "Shahrizai, this is a terrible time for rest, pleasure and love," she responded. "I have to get my ass moving North tomorrow to clean up Ser Aegon's mess, to name only one of the many mutually exclusive duties I have to do. We are still at war, my lady."
