"That's a shame. Camp follower bit that hard, did she?"

"Don't let him bait you, Greyjoy." Selwyn barked, and then turned his rock hard eye on Dawnrose, "Tully will have command. It is the Riverlands and his terrain."

"What I thought." With that Edmure left the tent.

"Well this will just be the most splendid journey." Ragnor says with a mockery of a smile. "Wait until we're out of sight of land, and arrange that he trips overboard, milord?"

Selwyn looked at Greyjoy coldly, "That is not funny. We are all comrade in arms. I wish we would all act fucking like it."

"Just a failed attempt at humor, milord. Helps keep morale up, when it works. I'll be sure to put him on a different ship than my own."

Oswell watched the exchange between Ironborn and Reachman with slight amusement. He smiled when Selwyn mentioned the command of the land forces. "Thank you my lord, I know the Riverlands well will know where and when to strike."
He turned to Ragnor, "I assume your men can fight just as well on land as they can on a ship? I will have no quarrels between the two of you whilst under my command. Your men will mirror your resentment and will be a distraction. I recommend settleing your differences now before we leave."

Ser Vincent took the role of an onlooker as the other men trifled. It mattered not to him who led. Inside he knew that he himself would do a better job than Tully (too soft), Greyjoy (too ignorant) or Dawnrose (too arrogant) when it came to leadership, yet he prefered to be out there doing the fighting, rather than sat in a tent or a safe place somewhere, issuing commands which in the heat of battle often mean absolutely nothing.
He offered a respectful nod in Tully's direction as he was granted the leadership.
"I look forward to serving you, my Lord," he said neutrally.
At least the better of the three men is leading us, he thought. I'm unlikely to die through the arrogance or sheer bloody-minded recklessness of a know-nothing commander.

"What am I to do while on this journey, since I am not in command." Though not from lack of ability, he crossed his arms waiting for Selwyn to answer.

Selwyn studied the man, "Row I guess."

"You'll be my second, long as we're at sea, Drumm. Next best ship for yourself and all that."
Ragnor turns to Tully. "We'll work things out, I'm sure. But telling a Reachman and an Ironborn not to quarrel...well, I imagine it's something like telling a Riverlander and an Ironborn the same, eh?"

Oswell laughs, "I do not expect you to become fast friends. Just get along well enough to be useful. We all have our quarrels, but they be set aside for a time at least."

He nodded at Greyjoy and left the tent, he needed his men ready.
