Talyn entered and bowed his head low, his cheek covered by a poultice.
"milord," Talyn said solemnly.

Selwyn turned and stared ice at Thatcher. His jaw trembled, but remained shut.

"My men were able to follow the kidnappers for three days before being spotted. One of the cultists, the Lannister man I told you of earlier, told them, that Thatcher wishes to surrender at Harrenhal. I... I thought you should know," he said, his voice dropping from lack of confidence.

Selwyn fixed him with the harsh glare from his lone eye, "I expected more then this."

Talyn had a feeling Selwyn didn't mean the report's accuracy.
"Yes milord. I am sorry. I will see her highness returned safely, I swear." He cleared his throat, "If you desire my commission Lord Sewlyn, I would understand."

Selwyn nodded, "After you save her though. I do not think a single man will be more committed to that."

"I WILL find her milord, I swear it," Talyn said, "Do you think they really intend to surrender? I find it hard to believe."

Selwyn shook his head, "Stealing the Princess is not a move of surrender."

Talyn sighed, "Than it is an ambush. I fear if we march south of the neck, we shall be cut off from our support. The rumors we heard of the Cult controlling Moat Cailin may be truer than we know."

Selwyn shook his head, "No. Not an ambush. Your father is not a warrior. A negotiation, a horse trade. I am sure he seeks a pardon, and maybe land. And worse She may acquiesce."

Talyn nodded, "That does sound like him," he admitted. "But if she does not acquiesce, He will kill Princess Kyma. A warrior my father's not, but he is more than willing to carry out threats. So it must be us who do the ambushing then."

"We will plan an ambush, but it would be wise to withhold this information from the Queen. She is compromised because of the nature of the hostage." Selwyn looked at Talyn, "Do not disappoint me again."

Talyn frowned, "No, it seems keeping things from the Queen is within my expertise. If it frees Kyma, than the Queen can slash the other side of my face too, and it will be worth it."

Selwyn looked up, "She did what?" His mouth curved down.
