Borcas nodded.
"We left a good deal of time before the army, Ser Talyn. There were not too many horse prints. Still, we were not able to follow her exactly, but at any rate our evidences point us this way."

Talyn grunted, "As a guard of the Queen, you understand that security precautions only work when the rules apply to everyone, and if all your guards follow their orders to the letter. My orders were to prevent any from joining the Van who'd not been officially assigned. I could perhaps allow you to tour the camp, under my escort. Would that be a sufficient compromise?"

Jeyne considered it.
"Would such a compromise give me the opportunity to discover if the princess is hiding amid your ranks?"

Talyn nodded, "As long as you're accompanied, I'll let you look where it please you, and I'll request that my men answer your questions as best they can." he said.

Borcas snorted.
"Ser Talyn, I do not know what Lady Jeyne thinks, but as I see it you have two ways to let us ride with the van. The first is at your own will, which will save us a lot of trouble. The second is to force us head back at the ain force, report all the procceedings to Queen Rhaenys and Lord Selwyn and ask for an official decree to give us permission to act freely in order to carry out our mission. I trust that if you follow the second route the outcome may not be too favourable for you."

Talyn stiffened. "By all means, Borcas, ride back and receive your decree. Your choice is that, or the compromise I already discussed with the noble Queensguard," he nodded at Jeyne, "I will not compromise my orders. There are worse things to be punished for, than doing as you were instructed."

Jeyne laid a hand on her companion's arm.
"Borcas, it will take too long to ride back. You can, if you like, but I am going to stay here and take up Thatcher's original offer."

Talyn nodded, "I apologize for the awkwardness. I am trying to be as reasonable as possible within the boundaries of my original orders. If it were not for Ladybright being present, I'd have already assumed this whole missing princess business is some kind of ruse, and run you off."

Borcas was at the edge of leting his anger overwhelm him.
"It is an order by Queen Rhaenys herself. I admit I personally couldn't care less about this princess who is so immature to run away. But as long as she ordered me to find her, I will not step back for anybody. You say that she is not with your men, Ser Talyn, and I really believe you. However, you refuse to a Queensguard free access to your camp for security reason. Are you imply she could be a traitor?"
He waved his knot a lot of times, filling the air with sweet music by the bells in his hair.
"Very well, as long as Lady Jeyne decides to accept your... offer, I will not say anything more. But the princess is easily recognisable. If you are hiding anything..." He did not need to explain more.

Talyn remained calm, "Orders are orders. I'm not trying to hinder you, only remain within the scope of what I was asked to do. Now shall we continue?"

"We will. Princess Kyma is a redhead, and I trust that she hadn't the opportunities to die her hair in the wilderness. You could ask of all your mesn to remove their caps and helmets?"

"Would you like me to assemble them in one place to make this go more quickly?" Talyn asked.

"Please do," Jeyne said. "And have them form lines so that we can walk between the rows."

Borcas simply sniffed the air. his Bloodriders were obviously disgusted with the politics, preffering a solution that involved steel. But they were held back by the Redwyne man.

Talyn orders the men into assembly.
"Men. We have some guests from the Queen. They are here with proper authorization, looking for a particular fugitive. Give them whatever aid they request."
