"Greetings, Ser Talyn. How's the marching? I hope you hadn't any ambushes from the Cultists as yet."

"Nay, It's as quiet as can be. Almost more nerve-wracking that way. I understand the Queen has charged you with finding her sister, bad luck that," Talyn says, seeming sympathetic.

"You haven't seen any trace of her then?" Jeyne asked.

"Has the princess the mouth she's rumored to? Of that, I might have been a bit unlucky, that's true." Borcas almost laughed.

Talyn shook his head, "I'll not speak ill of her grace's blood," He gives a cautious nod towards the Queensguard, "in any case, we've been keeping an eye open since your messenger sent word. Nothing, special, you understand, but i told the patrols to keep their eyes out for any women riding alone. The only thing we've spotted though is men making their way towards the army to swear to the Queen."

"You are sure the princess was not with any of those people?" Jeyne asked.

"What troubles us is that from what we've found, she took that route and she did not leave it. That leaves us few assumptions available. Either she was able to sneak through or around your van, which Lady Jeyne heavily doubts, or she mixed up with your troops somehow. Is it possible for her to have avoided your force? Untill we came upon the van we did not found any track of her leading elsewhere."

Talyn shook his head, "I wouldn't think so, since they'd all be headed back to join the army. Why would the princess run away from the camp only to rejoin it? But the patrols were all told to be on the look out for her, so if she was among them, I'd think they'd have reported it. I suppose its possible she's altered her look in some manner, or is wearing men's clothing, or the like, so I will not say it COULD not have happened, only that I think it unlikely."

"Yes, there are a lot of possibilities, unfortunately. You do not think that she was able to get beyond your van, thouh. Right?"

Talyn shook is head, "I wouldn't think so, unless she took a very wide route around, which is possible. That would perhaps be the wisest choice for her in any case. Have you done any investigation as to where she might be going? Perhaps her room at Castle Black would give an indication of her destination?" Talyn said, "Perhaps she is headed towards the sea to go back to Sothoryos. I am certainly no princess, who can say how they think."

Jeyne gave Talyn a long look.
"Just how well do you and your officers know their men? Can we be sure that the princess has not disguised herself as a man?"

Talyn shook his head, "As I said, it's possible. If so she would be in among the Northmen, or perhaps the Far reach men. I say that, because I'm familiar with my own ranks, and since we're sellswords, each man with me I have personally interviewed, and they've signed their names to service. I have three-hundred-twenty names in the book. I just don't think she came this way. Perhaps she went to Eastwatch by the Sea, for a ship to take her to the free cities? If so," He bowed his head, "she's long gone."

"Ser Talyn, did you not pay attention to what I've said? We found traces leading that way back at Castle Black. And for the whole length there were no traces leaving the road. No, she must have been headed that way. We just can't find any more leads to her than that. Perhaps we should stay with your van for a while, untill we reach Winterfell at least. If she is here, which I doubt, she might give herself away. IF not, we'll see where we'll be heading next."
"Do you have any objections?"

Talyn shook his head, "I apologize, I do not wish to doubt the skills of your tracker, but if you can pick one horse's shoeprint out from among the many that are going up and down that road, he's a better man than I am. As for moving among the camp," Talyn sucked air through his teeth, "We'd been ordered to keep the vanguard isolated for security reasons, although i understand you have your orders."

"I agree with Borcas," Jeyne said. "We should remain with you a while longer. Borcas and I have been with the queen since before we came to Westeros. No-one with half a mind would ever consider us a risk to security."
