Rhaenys arrives at Euric's tent. Talyn the Braavosi accompanied her.
"What news, old friend?" She asked.

The tent was empty save for Euric and Corwyn Storm, who sat at the single table. Euric smiled up at her in greeting. "Your Grace, this is a matter for your ears only."

"Wait outside," Rhaenys told Talyn.
Once the man had gone, she sat opposite Euric and Corwyn.
"Speak, then."

It was Corwyn that spoke up now, his voice self-assured and even. "Your grace, I am a follower of the Old Gods, and sometimes we are granted dreams, or visions if you wish to call them such." He locked his gaze on her. "Over the past few days I have received two such dreams that could be over major importance."

She was sceptical, not being a follower of the Old Gods. Green Dreams had always sounded like a child's tale to Rhaenys but her position was precarious and she could not afford to ignore the possibility that they were real after all.
"Please tell me," she said.

Corwyn nodded. "The first was very obscure, though the message behind it was clear; I dreamed of a lord and ladies dancing at a ball... the room went dark and some of the people present ripped their gowns off and attacked each other. Some ran away and some ignored it all and kept dancing."

A chill went down her spine.
"I see. Did any of them have faces you recognise?"

"I am afraid not, your grace. It was most disturbing however." Corwyn replied, in the same easy voice he had used to greet her.

"I can see that it would be," she said. "What was the other dream, and are the two linked?"

"The other dream was about people dying and others taking their faces. I do not believe they are strictly linked, though of course a casualty of the first dream may be represented by a false person from the second one."

"Perhaps," said Rhaenys. "I suppose there was noone you recognised in the second dream either?"

Corwyn shook his head. "The dreams that we receive are always vague; rarely a known face will feature. Most of the time a man will be represented by an animal, perhaps one he acts like or wears as his sigil."

Rhaenys was frowning. All this was new to her; she was no stranger to bizarre or frightening dreams but none of them had ever meant anything when she awoke. A massive leap of faith was required to put her trust in this strange man and his stranger dreams but she knew she must believe him.
"Were there any men - or women - who resembled animals in either of your dreams?" She asked.

Corwyn shook his head solemnly. "I only know that it was lords and ladies in the first dream; you are neither, so perhaps you are safe, though I would not vouch for it. My advice regarding the second dream however would be to keep a keen eye on everyone. You have chosen a master of whispers?"
