She took a seat opposite Euric.
"Did you get to talk to Horas about Starfall?" she asked, her face and eyes hard to read.

"Not Horas, unfortunately." Euric replied, his mood still easy. "Princess Aurora however spoke with me... to make matters short, I was not granted the castle."

"What!?" Euric asked, tensing. "Where did you hear this?" A heavy frown crossed his face but Euric kept as calm as possible. "Princess Aurora did try her charm on me but I would have never dared to let her entice me. In fact, that is one of the reasons the castle was not given to me."

She gave him a troubled look.

Euric gave her a reassuring smile. "Alysanne, you are wonderful girl; to me you aren't just a Targaryen Princess, a way to gain power or all those other ridiculous things. You have been a true friend for a long time and well... you remember that incident, don't you?"

Alysanne stood up. "So.. I better go and see if they have made more absurd decisions. Not that I could say anything about them, tho. Since I'm not a part of the small council."

"They won't be finished yet." Euric replied. "These sort of meetings can take hours... and I doubt Rhaenys needs any input afterward." He pulled an amulet from around his neck and set it down on the table. "My father gave this to me; he said it had once been a gift from his father to his mother."
