Ariel chuckled at Ragnor. "Easy. Use scouts to see if Winterfell is safe, then take that as our base to begin figuring out what's happening in the South. In the dark, lighting a torch is usually a good idea."

Ragnor smiles at Talyn's answer. "Well put, Thatcher. I'll limit my complains to those of substance."
He listens to Ariel's plans for a first step, then throws in, "How about Drumm and me go with our men to our ships, head down to the Islands? Send a raven to Winterfell when we get the chance."

Selwyn stepped forward and motioned around to the assembly, "As I see it, every here has two choices. Baratheon," he motioned to himself, "Or Targaryen," He motioned to Rhaenys. "I knelt to her mother, and as I kneel to her I say loudly, any who do not take the knee and say the words, they are a traitor to one of us. Traitors will leave this clearing a head shorter then when they arrived." He motioned to the knights of his standing about looking in. Then Selwyn turned and took his knee infront of the Queen.
The scarred man licked his lips, but slowly, reluctantly he said the words of fealty.

Talyn watched Selwyn dispassionately. He looked for Lord Martell, and the Dornish, to see their reaction to Selwyn's oath.

Talyn could not spot Lord Martell in the crowd, nor his daughter.

Talyn dropped to his knees, and his men did the same, muttering their oaths barely audible.

Aurane Velaryon watched Selwyn bend his knee before Rhaenys. His liege lord had spoken. It was good enough for him. Like many of the other lords he also knelt.

Lilyanna stood near her sister, flanked by Ellannyria, and nodded as Selwyn knelt before her twin.
Ellanyria lay quietly behind her. Lily knew she would have questions about the soft human proceedings afterwards but El's modicum of politeness and the solid lunch of three oxen and a couple of lambs would keep her calm for the time being.

Imry bowed before Rhaenys, "I pledge to Queen Rhaenys my sword. I am no Westerosi but I will stay here until the job is complete... as it appears that destroying an army of mythical creatures was not enough."

Sanearys dropped to his knee, as did Ser Jordayne.
"I pledge myself and my heart to my sister and Queen, Rhaenys Targaryen. I am in her service, as are my men. We will serve you until the ends of the world."
Jordayne offered a small "aye".
"I am at your disposal, Queen Rhaenys."

Ariel looked at Selwyn. "Those gathered here, dynastic matters aside, await your plans, my lord Selwyn."

Selwyn remained on his knee, "I will not rise until every one has joined me." He snickered, "One way or another."

Ariel looked at Selwyn. "I wasn't asking you to rise, lord Hand, I was asking for your plans for battle. I have no wish to fight you any more than I do my cousin Rhaenys."
Lord Wyl looked at Selwyn. "Has Horas Martell bent the knee?" he asked Selwyn.

*Ellannyria felt the presence of another soft human like her princesses. This one didn't speak to her but she could feel the complex rhythms of her emotions. She had deep passion did this soft human.*

Selwyn stayed on his knee, merely glancing over his shoulder to see if everyone had knelt yet.
