Over a small rise he trudged up; The hard and black piece of bread being slowly chewed on. 'So, there Was a commotion', he thought quite pleased with himself, wincing as a tooth ground against the rockhard food. He claimed himself a barren tree, leaning up against it, arms folding over his chest as he watched the proceedings from afar...
He was quiet, although he made no action to make himself unseen; 'The Lordly Lords won't bloody care, anyways,' he thought sarcastically as the King Himself knelt and pledged his loyalty, his lords and knights following him. 'I hope something comes out of this...Can't wait to be out of this stupid Seven-forsakened place...', he relished marching back to the Riverlands once again, but pleasent thoughts were interrupted as another ground tooth brought another wince of pain, and a curse word as the piece of bread was spat onto the ground.

William Karstark arrived late to the council, having removed his plate and mail he still wore his woolen doublet bearing the sunburst of the Karstarks. As Selwyn Baratheon knelt as did William. "My Lady, as once King Torrhen Stark knelt before your forefather I now kneel for the North to you."

Theo felt sick, he new only bad could come of this confrontation, but his King had knelt. Instead of kneeling he talked,"Queen Rhaenys the first of your name I swear my allegiance to you, but make no mistake I only do so because my King has."

A raven swoops down and settles atop the Targaryen's standard, and stays there despite the standard bearer's best attempts to dislodge it. It caws plaintively and sets to preening its feathers.

Warren Marbrand was present. He stood in the middle of the crowd, relatively unnoticed and wearing a finely tailored but reserved looking smoke grey cloak. He had no reservations about kneeling after Selwyn did, and offered his allegiance enthusiastically. A man could do worse than benefit by swearing an oath he was dubious about keeping, or at least Warren figured.

"My lady, with all respect due, can you even prove what you say to be the truth?" Simon asked bluntly, turning to the Lady Ariel. "I do not doubt that, if you are who you say you are, your blood claim to the throne is legitimate, but to me you appear to be a Dornish Lady, with dyed hair and a red dress."
Simon Tarly took the knee as the former King knelt, as his squire Jaymes walked slowly up to Rhaenys. He knelt before her, albeit several paces behind Selwyn, and spoke in a voice that cracked slightly when he began. "I, uh, Lord Jaymes of Hightower, the Voice of Oldtown and Lord of the Port, the Defender of the Citadel and Beacon of the South, so do swear that my blood and blade are your grace's when they are needed. The Reach offers you its fealty, my Queen." His voice slowly trailed off toward the end, as his confidence fell, but he offered the hilt of his sword to Queen Rhaenys in the symbolic gesture of homage.

Rhaenys accepted those who knelt with nods and a touch on their sword hilt or shoulder. She waited to see what the last few would do.

Borcas and his Dothrakis walked slowly forward.
"Me and my men will swear our swords to Queen Rhaenys as we did to her mother," he said with a loud voice, though he did not kneel or bow.

Maester Perestan looked at the raven on the standard knowingly and smiled at it. He saw Jaime kneeling, so he knelt with him. They were followed by Anne Stone and Ser Bennis Baelish. "Your Grace, the Vale is yours."

Sers Gerald Yronwood, Joseff Flowers and Gallagher Royce were among the first knee benders. Ser Gerald was getting pretty impatient from the long kneeling, tho. It should've been faster. If some of them were cleverer, they'd just shut up and kneel instead of revolting.

Rhaenys glanced around and saw that the majority had indeed knelt to her. Her supporters were strong enough to deal with any dissenters.
"Rise, my lords," she began. "It is my decision that all men loyal to me shall be confirmed in the rank and holdings he had during Lord Selwyn's reign. If any man believes himself entitled to hold other lands than those, he present his case to myself and my advisors at Winterfell, time permitting. Does anyone have anything to say?"
