"Just remember only the young or foolish wish to prove themselves on the battle field. The old and wise know it is an action to be taken only on important matters. You must never be afraid to fight for your values, but don't wish for war to come too soon."

/////////////// Septon Tomas walked quietly in the Great Sept. He was tired from the day's discussion with the Most Devout and the High Septon. He was disappointed in the choice, of High Septon since he himself had wanted the position but the political game within the most devout made that impossible. He counted himself lucky that the candidate that was finally chosen was a good and devout friend.
Igor Conklyn approached Tomas from behind, his head hanging low. "Tomas," he grunted.
"Yes?" Tomas replied,
"News from the North. . ." he said with a pause, "Septon Lysander says that the preaching is going very well and that the Seven's gifts are helping with the influence of the Smallfolk although he noted some incidents rabble rousers and the like among the more stubborn of the Old God's followers."

//////////////////////// A young alcolyte is sweeping up the floor of the Great Sept as a few late night worshipers say their final prayers. The young boy is whistling a hymn to the Father, Smith and Warrior as he cleans.
Loren Irwyn enters the Great Sept through the Father gate and nods his head at the young alcolyte who nods back in respect. The Far Reach Lord begins his daily meditation at each of the seven altars, lighting a candle at each altar with his head held low.

Tyberion Lannister enters the Great Sept for the first time since his vigil for Jeyne. He finds an acolyte, and asks to speak with the High Septon, as regards his recent invitation for any interested.

He had gotten quite used to this. He didn't use all the time to worship the gods but allowed himself to think of other things as well.

Tyberion Lannister enters the Great Sept for the first time since his vigil for Jeyne. He finds an acolyte, and asks to speak with the High Septon, as regards his recent invitation for any interested. A young Septon tells, Tyberion that the Septon commissioning the investigation into the Crownlands is, Septon Tomas and gently escorts him to a Solar behind the Father and Mother Altar. *Created a new thread since there is likely to be a lot of discussions in there.
