Loren Irwyn enters the Great Sept through the Father's Gate and then moves slowly to the altar of the Smith where he kneels down to pray.

Lord Samuel Tarly kneels a few yards away from his childhood friend, under the avatar of the Father, his lips moving in silent prayer.

Loren smiles as Samuel enters but he remains silent moving to the next altar to give thanks to the mother and then the rest of the Aspects as Loren always does. When he finishes he waits by the rainbow pool of the great Sept for Samuel to finish.

Two boys enters the Sept, and stare wideeyed at the splendor. This was only the second time they had been at King's Landing and they hadn't had the time to look at everything the first time. Loren and Samuel might recognise the former squire of Lord Hightower, Balor Waxley, as one of the boys.

"Balor," Loren smiles and waves for him to come near, "how have you faired?"

Balor approaches, "I have been better milord, though it is good to see my family again.." he bites his lips, "I hear you have been given charge over the Far Reach, like your father!". The other boy stands closer to Samuel though not too close as to disturbe the man while he is praying.

"It is a sad charge, Balor, though like my Father I will answer," Loren thought of the death of his friends and his widowed sister and shook his head. "What are you doing now to pass your time?"

Balor looks down a bit shamed, he bites his lip once more. "Not much to be true, I'm thinking that my father will find me someone else to squire for but he has been busy. It didn't feel as I got any better at all".

"Well one battle, does not a warrior make it takes constant practice and a faithful heart to the Seven. I will have to find time to speak with your Father, is he staying at the Bronze Hall?" Loren asks.

Balor nods, "We are staying at the Bronze Hall yes. What will you speak to him about?"

"Oh just the state of the realm in general, though beaten I do not see any reason why we cannot continue to work together on important issues."

"That's true I suppose," Balor said. He swiung his head around to look for his little brother. Patrek was standing behind Samuel nearly touching his sword belt. "Patrek!" Balor yelled, Patrek startled then tried to look innocent. Balor flushed as he realised that he had probably interupted a lot of peoples praying.

Loren laughed slightly at the boy's curiosity, although the Great Sept had a few attendants it was not nearly as full as Loren would have wanted. "Don't be too eager to grow up Patrek, if history is any indication of future events it is likely your sword arm will be needed before too long."

"I'm six, soon a man grown. I'll be just like Ser Patrek Redfort, you wait and see!" Patrek said daring Lord Irwyn to say anything against that. "Don't be silly," Balor said. "You don't even like to grimace". Patrek sticks his tounge out at this brother and grimaces looking utterly foolish, "I can too".
