Wulf nods, "the sword is Qhored's, and I wouldn't have a right to keep it from him. But I understand delivering the sword to him would leave a foul taste in your mouth."

Wulf sighed, "I will tell him." Wulf didn't say that the idea of having to earn his own sword would only infuriate Qhored, and that it would drive the wedge between his two families even further.
"Congratulations on your appointment, I will have to come and see this legendary Storm's End sometime," Wulf said.

Wulf comes to the queen's quarters reeking of alcohol. When the guards ask as to his purpose he laughs, "well I'm here to see my fucking sister, amn't I? Now fuck off and let me through!"

"Sister dearest," he said happily, "I apoligise for disturbing you at this late hour," his speech was slurred. He pulled a shiny tomato from his pocket and turned it around in his hand.

He laughed when he realised she was speaking of the tomato, ignoring everything she had said beforehand. "Hungry for this? Oh no, not when this mere tomato has so much power. Haven't you heard? It can kill men."

The laugh faded from his lips as she didn't respond. He looked at her seriously for a moment, "I would give my life to save you or Brynden, or any of your children, but I won't sit out the next war, and you know there will be another." He stood and laid the tomato on a table before turning to leave.

He turned back and grinned at her, "people think my vows didn't mean shit to me when I took them. But they did, sister, I promise you that they did."
He left.

Thaddeus Thatcher approached the Queen's apartments, and gave a perfunctory nod to the guardsmen standing near by, his own bodyguard trailing not far beyond. When the Queen was dutifully informed of his presence and (assuming) when she let him in, he bowed deeply, and than smiled upon rising, as was his custom.
"Your grace. I have so missed our little chats, but regrettably there was little worth reporting, however, now I fear, that is not the case. You've no doubt heard of the terrible violence visited upon our septs. Most dreadful. Not that I'm a religious man, but some things are just... unacceptable. Knowing the level of your concern, I have put out the word that this matter must be uncovered swiftly, and I am pleased to say, I have a lead."

Thaddeus raised his eyebrow. "I suppose I can speak to the the Most Devout, but I am doubtful that this will make up for my many sins." He smiled, as if in assurance that the sins were both numerous and scandalous.
"I have received word from my agents in the land, that a number of strangers... Northmen, by all appearances, were seen near some of the septs before the attacks. By no means all, of course, but their appearances seem... less than a coincidence. I have also heard from sources near White Harbour, that elements of our good King's brother's force..." Thaddeus paused slightly.
"You'll recall of course, Prince Rickon kept a goodly number of men around him during his self imposed exile, largely... devout followers of the Old Gods. With their lords death, of course, they are now leaderless. My source at White Harbour says they are agitating in reaction to the Faith's recent decision to proselytize in the North. Faith reacted rather... strongly, to the Queen Jeyne's death, and some of its more radical septons have been preaching for the forced conversion of the North to the Seven. Those are my two pieces of datum. Separately, uninteresting, but together... well, perhaps they are something."

Thaddeus nodded, "That is a possibility, although surely we could not arrest all of them, Prince Rickon had a thousand followers or more. Those we capture may have no knowledge of events, but still it would not exonerate the group as a whole. After all, perhaps not all were of the plan. As for their disposition, your grace, I can not say. I do know that men of violence are men of violence. Their nobility comes from being nobly led. And they are that no longer." Thaddeus sighed slightly, as if considering that thought.
"As I said, I can make the arrests if you deem it so, but short of a very.... large number of arrests, we can not be certain that we will capture any of the participants in this horrid event."

"That is undoubtedly true your grace," Thaddeus said, "but as for now, the identity of the ringleader remains a secret. I shall continue to investigate, and when I have more, I shall tell you at once."

"That is most certainly true your grace. Fear not, I shall report back at once when I have news. If I have your leave." He bowed, and smiled.

Thaddeus Thatcher arrived, with his singular bodyguard, and as was customary, waited to be admitted.
"Your grace, I had a matter, I was hoping to speak with you about. Regarding appointments. Do you have the time?"
