Tallahar arrives. He was happy to be helping his King again. "I have of course not be on this council for long. What decisions have been made over the Kings Uncle?"

"The Prince of Dragonstone was summoned to appear before his King to explain himself. He refused to do so, and is now considered in rebellion." replied the Master of Ships Erik Coldiron.

"Oh god it's always nice to crush a rebellion." Tallahar's hand went to his wound at his chest and rubbed it, "So who is supporting our dear Prince of Dragonstone. The usually people, Sea Lord? Crow?"

"So far as we know, no one. Some of the Driftmark lords may rally to him, but I think ultimately the challenge will be Dragonstone itself. We understand he's built a large chain across the harbor."

"That would be difficult. Is it possible to land a small force outside of the harbor to take one of these towers to stop the chain being pulled tight."

"Well, it's a rather large island? Surely we can put ashore elsewhere besides the harbor?" Coldiron said, more of a statement then a question.

"But how quickly is the question. Any ground force would come under attack almost immediately from the Rebel Princes forces."

"That's true regardless of where we land." Coldiron said flatly.

"But if we can take the harbor it would allow our troops to be offload much faster. Plus give us a much larger area to offload in."

"Yes... except for the whole....chain business, and the fact that Dragonstone keep overlooks the harbor."

"Very well then if you believe landing somewhere else is the right idea I will not object. I have never understood this naval combat thing."

Alexander looks uneasy, he had no love for any of the King's kin they seemed content to use their birth to get special privileges without feeling any need to help support them realm. Alex personally felt you could drown the whole lot of them and the realm would be a better place although he had the sense not to share this feeling with anyone.
"Is there any way to resupply the keep other then by sea?" Alexander asks, "If not perhaps we can just starve them out. If he has any size army they will quickly run out of provisions."

King Rickon raised his eyebrow, "Do you think this is possible Lord Hand? Its a sizeable island, can it not support numerous men on its own?"

Alexander nods, "Perhaps, but its winter, my grace, chances are they have not had time to plant and with the threat of invasion they may not spare their small folk to plant. If they do then we can send infiltrators on the island and burn the fields before they come to harvest. A few spies would be easier then a full company. There is always a way my grace."
"What size fleet and army does the Prince have?" Alex coughs, "I apologize but I am not fully read into this affair yet."
