The man studies Maxwell for a moment, then seems to decide that it is rather obvious he is not one of the invaders. "We are scouting. Lord Yronwood means to take the city. We had hoped to rally the locals to fight from the inside... but so far it appears only cowards remain in Lannisport. Who are you?"

"I'm Maxwell Hill",he replies,"I'm here with some others to learn more about this god forsaken enemy." Then he says to the man," I need to go back, the others will be wondering were I am, if you wish you can come with me." He then waits for the man to answer.

"Terrick," the leader says, and another man moves forward from the shadows, "Go with him."

Taking the man with him, Maxwell goes back to were the rest of his companions were. As they round the corner Danwell looks at him and says," Maxwell were have you been?", Maxwell replies," I saw a disturbance and went looking, theres men here servants of Lord Yron somethin." He then shows them Terreck. "He's one of them", Maxwell answers. Waiting for Danwell to say something Max sits on a mound.

Danwell looks at the man "Yron-something? Yronwood?" he queries. "What are the dornish doing in Lannisport?" he asks suspiciously

"The only told me that he means to take the city back",he replied,"and that they were hoping for the refugees to rise up from the inside." Maxwell then went to his back pack and grabbed an apple. He then promptly ate it in a few bites. "So what should we do now?", Maxwell asked.

Patrek grunts, "Get him to tell Lord Yronwood that he better find someplace where he could ambush the enemies rather than taking this city."

Danwell looked around the devastation city in mock surprise "Take it back? Who'd want it in this condition? Anyway, tell your master to stay out of our way and we'll stay out of his" he growled

Terreck takes runs off into the ruins." Lets get out of the open", Maxwell said warily, " I don't like this place at all." He then went to his horse and brought it into the ruins. Taking his blanket out Max hunkers down ready to travel by night.

"We could find a house or inn near another gate, and wait for the foreigners. The horses should be in another house since these are likely the only horses here.. except for the dornishmen's," Brandon suggested.

Danwell nodded "I think our original plan of getting information from the locals isn't going to work - they're obviously terrified of the invaders. I think we should try and find a patrol, ambush them and take their uniforms. That should allow us more freedom in accessing secure parts of the town. Of course we still can't speak their language so that's a problem. Hmmm"

"I am fairly good with languages, if we manages to capture one of them I might learn something," Brandon said.

"Hhhmmmm.....sounds good to me, but your commander Danwell so its up to you", Max agreed. He then reached into his saddle bag and brought out another apple which he munched on happily.

Danwell raised an eyebrow as he watched Maxwell "You do realise that's the horse's food you're eating?" as Maxwell's horse lowered it's neck over his shoulder and tried to nibble the apple.
"Anyway, if you think you can learn some of their words Brandon, we'll try and keep one alive for you. Wat, Sikil - see if you can find some recent tracks by armed men - if it's not us or those interfering dornish, it's a good bet it's an enemy patrol"
