Lord Erik Coldiron arrives, picking a seat near the exit, and sprawling his legs out as he leans back comfortably.

Erik grunted, perhaps unwilling to say his true feelings regarding the King's own blood.

Durran Caron nodded in agreement as Lord Tommen spoke the last line, "I feel the only reason he kept his titles after the war is because he is of royal blood. Well in some ways I think he's no better than his brother Andry, and it would be a mistake to keep him free."

Roland heeded Caron and then nodded. "The low cunning of this man, even though of Royal blood, clearly manifests itself in vile plots and skullduggery." He looked to Benfry, "I believe that he should be stripped of his titles and at best, be sent to The Wall."

Roland smiled at The King. "A wise suggestion, your grace. There could be additonal evidence that could bear some other decision regarding the legitimacy of this Adrian Sunglass... Though I would also ask, is there any doubt that Prince Avery kidnapped Lady Barclay and her children? That seems offense enough for severe punishment."

Roland informs the Small Council and the King that he has exchanged letters with Prince Avery, but that the Prince has balked at travel to King's Landing, and instead has agents presenting information. Roland has ordered a trial to occur in one month, whether or not Avery chooses to appear (and that Avery has been so informed).

"If he chooses not to defend himself, then I will certainly take that into consideration when judging his guilt or innocence. That being said, I'm not sure his seizure before judgement is necessary."

OOCishly: I'm going to open up a thread for the trial regarding charges against Prince Avery tonight. I'll have Roland "chair" it, but which other lords/small council members/etc would like to participate? I won't actually post anything in the thread other than the setting itself before our European contingent has a chance to weigh in on attendance here.
